For over 45 years SOAR has offered high adventure summer camps designed specifically for youth, young adults (and families) between the ages of 8 and 25 with ADHD and/or other Learning Differences such as autism level 1, dyslexia, anxiety, or dysgraphia. (SOAR is not a therapeutic program.) Each of our summer camp options promotes making friends, increasing self-confidence, and developing life skills through a success oriented focus. Created in ...read more1977 by an adult with learning disabilities, SOAR provides fun, challenge-by-choice outdoor adventure experiences so that participants may gain greater awareness of their own strengths and improve self-esteem and confidence. Whether you want a 6 day adventure or a 21 day trip, there are options for everyone. SOAR staff are dedicated, patient instructors who are trained to work with this population of campers.
Our camps offer activities including backpacking, horseback riding, surfing, caving, snorkeling, llama trekking, study skills and more, for beginners and beyond, located across the country's most scenic places. The two SOAR basecamps are in the Blue Ridge Mountains of western Balsam, North Carolina and the wild and wonderful Dubois, Wyoming. Other specialty locations include Belize, Peru, California, Colorado, and the sunny Florida Keys. Come join the SOAR Family for a once-in-a-lifetime adventure and challenge!
Residential boys' summer camp

Camp Voyageur, owned and operated by the Erdmann family since 1951, is a small private camp for boys 9-17 located next to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness in northeastern Minnesota.
We have a traditional in camp program but our specialty is canoeing trips. We lead 3-16 day wilderness trips canoeing in the Boundary Waters and Canada's Quetico Provincial Park. In addition we also lead hiking along the North Shore of Lake Superior ...read moreand on Isle Royale National Park and we lead sea kayaking in the Apostle Island National Lake Shore. Our in camp program of land and water sports includes: waterskiing, soccer, basketball, volleyball, ultimate Frisbee, archery, rock climbing, sailing, arts/crafts, and much more. 1 well trained counselor to 4 campers.

JRC staff members focus on helping campers make friends, belong to a positive community, and experience life on a working ranch. We value self-sufficiency, the chance to live simply and responsibly, and the ties of community.
JRC has been providing children with a unique summer experience since 1934. Our two-week program is designed for kids ages 6-16 who are interested in being outdoors, having fun, and making lasting memories. Campers choose from our wide variety of daily activities, allowing independent decision-making and enabling each child to customize the camp experience.
