Florida's Diabetes Camp offers a variety of programs throughout the year and in different locations throughout the state for youngsters with insulin dependent (type 1) diabetes of all ages and their families.

Florida's first diabetes camp was organized by Wilma Van Der Beek in 1962 under the auspices of the Florida Diabetes Association (Camp Fladia). Over the next 8 years it grew from 40 to 85 campers per summer.
Florida ...read moreCamp for Children and Youth with Diabetes (FCCYD) was incorporated in 1970 by Dr. Arlan Rosenbloom. Forty years later, FCCYD serves over 400 youngsters ages 6-18 at its six summer sessions and another 700 youngsters and their families in weekend sessions throughout the year.
