CAMP JORDAN IS A GREAT ADVENTURE featuring traditional camp activities while making friends with other children who understand the challenges of having diabetes. Established in 1966 by the West Central Richmond Optimist Club and Dr. William R. Jordan, Camp Jordan continues to provide a fun and exciting camp experience for children learning to manage their diabetes, with the supervision of trained counselors, nurses and doctors. Activities include swimming, canoeing, archery, crafts, games, campfires and other traditional camp activities. Older campers will have the opportunity to fly on the ziplines, and rising 9th and 10th graders have the option to participate in an off-site adventure trip.
