Arizona Camp Sunrise, the first camp in Arizona for children with cancer, began in 1983. The Sidekicks program, the only program in the state made specifically for the siblings of cancer patients, started in 1988. We try to give these kids a "normal" summer camp experience, in a setting that caters to their special medical needs. Medical staff are on call 24 hours a day.

Established in 1982

Camp Okizu is a free, medically supervised summer camp for children with cancer, their siblings, and their parents.

Every summer Okizu provides tons of fun for pediatric oncology patients and their siblings at our week-long resident camps. Okizu creates an atmosphere conducive to nurturing self-esteem and building self-reliance, while maintaining the most important aspect of camp: an experience that is fun for the campers.
