USA Swimming is the official website for the national governing body of competitive swimming in the United States. It is responsible for selecting the US Olympic Swimming team and other teams that represent the U.S. It also governs the overall operation of the sport of swimming within the country.
According to their objective, “Build the base, Promote the sport, Achieve competitive success,” USA Swimming” is a 300,000-member service organization that promotes the culture of swimming by creating opportunities for swimmers and coaches of all backgrounds to participate and advance in the sport through clubs, events and education.”
USA Swimming membership is comprised of swimmers from the age group level to the Olympic Team, as well as coaches and volunteers. Members can get involved through more than 2,800 clubs across the nation.
