The greatest need is for camp counselors. The role of a counselor is rooted in service, loving kids unconditionally, and sharing Christ in daily life. Activities include Soccer, Basketball, Baseball, Football, Weight Lifting, Archery, Riflery, Crafts, Rocketry, Outdoor Living, Bible Study, Guitar, and more. Camp High Rocks has one opening for a director of its summer whitewater program. Director must be experienced in teaching mostly open boat, but experience in kayak and C-1 is very helpful. Rivers we paddle include the Chattooga, Nantahala, Tuckaseegee, French Broad, Green, Pigeon, and Toe. Qualifications: At least 21 years of age, experience leading river trips, Wilderness First Responder, and ACA whitewater instructor certification (certification available prior to camp season). Director should have experience working with clay and time spent running a studio including: kiln firing (electric), pinch pots, wheels, and glazing. Camp High Rocks has an opening for the director of our Challenge Course. Our course consists of 18 high elements at 25 and 45 feet. Director will lead 3 facilitators and together they will guide campers through ground school, processing, and debriefing the experience on the course. The Director will be in charge of overseeing course maintenance and scheduling cabin groups for the course. Director will also be in charge of supervising a team of 3 facilitators and serving as the lead facilitator on the course.
