Jewish Camps

For nearly 3000 years, the Jewish people have maintained a distinct culture with a unique place in world history. To be Jewish is to live a life dedicated to something greater than your own concerns. The Jewish religion is primarily about two things: relating to God and relating to your neighbor.

Attending a Jewish summer camp can help your child do both. They’ll build a deeper connection to their faith while developing strong relationships with members of their community, and they’ll have a great time in the process.

The Benefits of Jewish Summer Camp

Jewish camps allow your children to experience all the same learning opportunities and fun activities as a traditional summer camp, but with an added emphasis on religious education and in the company new friends they share a heritage and traditions with. In addition to studying and practicing Judaism, they’ll develop team-building and leadership skills, go on outdoor adventures, play sports and other games, and challenge their artistic abilities.

There are different camp programs to suit every family’s needs, interests, and preferences. Staying overnight at a Jewish sleepaway camp will give your kids the most time to make memories with friends and build independence outside of their comfort zone, but if being away from home too long isn’t the best idea for your child, they can go to a Jewish day camp in the morning and return in the evening.

There are Jewish camps for boys or girls, teenagers or younger children, people with special needs, and more. Whatever environment your kids will be most comfortable in, there’s a camp in our index for you.
