Camp Rim Rock for girls, founded in 1952, offers a non-competitive, fun and safe environment. In an atmosphere of friendship and acceptance, girls have the opportunity to take part in a number of challenging activities. Our program focuses in four areas: Horseback Riding (english lessons, trail rides, river rides and stable management), The Arts (dance, drama, a cappella choir, arts & crafts, drawing), Aquatics (swimming, canoeing, tubing), Land Sports (archery, volleyball, tennis, field games). Residential boys' summer camp Alderson, West Virginia

A Tradition of Fun Since 1898, Camp Greenbrier for Boys is located in the Alleghany Mountains along the beautiful Greenbrier River. It is a wonderful, safe place where campers have fun, develop self-confidence, and make lifelong friends.

Boys 7 to 15 years old take part in the traditional camp program that includes archery and rifle, rock climbing, canoeing, snorkeling, kayaking, baseball, basketball, soccer, golf, tennis, swimming, lacrosse, and many others. For rising 11th and 12th graders, or those who turn 16 by the start of the program, the Leadership Academy offers young men the chance to test their leadership skills in a physically and intellectually challenging two-week adventure.

The purpose of Burgundy Center for Wildlife Studies is to nurture in children and teens a respect and sensitivity to the natural world through greater knowledge of self and nature. The campers develop this through direct interactions with nature and the staff, through learning scientific information, and through gaining experiences as part of a community.

Burgundy Center for Wildlife Studies is located in Cooper's Cove, a secluded 500 acre sanctuary in the Appalachian Mountains. It is west of Capon Bridge, West Virginia. This beautiful remote valley is a 2-1/2 hour drive from Washington D.C.

The Mountain Institute's Summer Programs are exciting explorations of adventure, science, art, and self. TMI is a non-profit environmental science center that offers programs for students aged 9-17. On our 400-acre wilderness campus near WV's highest point, you can climb, cave, laugh, and learn with our college educated, experienced, and dedicated staff.

TMI's campus is utterly unique. Our yurts(round wooden buildings) are a wonderful to enjoy the solitude and adventure that only WV's highest mountain can offer. Our camp season is late June & July. Activities include caving, climbing, hiking, creek walks, astronomy, games, & more.
