Camp Friendship was founded in 1966 and is still managed by the Ackenbom family. This is a place where campers come back to year after year to visit with old friends and make new ones, supporting our motto "Enter here to be and find a friend". Camp Friendship is more than just fun and games, we also cater to the development needs of our campers. Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains on 520 acres Camp Friendship offers a variety of programs for boys and girls ages 7-16. Traditional camp programs for Juniors and Teens offer more than 40 activities for campers to choose from to create a fun and fulfilling summer.
Our campers can mix and match one-week sessions with VIVA! Trips for teens or add a half-day Sports Clinic including Tennis, Golf, Gymnastics, Soccer, and Waterskiing instructed by qualified instructors. For the girls who just love horses, the Equestrian Program with more than 80 camp-owned horses is the camp program for them! The Camp Friendship staff and its campers have represented over 80 different countries over our 45 years for a diverse cultural interaction.

Timber Ridge is located just 90 miles west of Washington DC, in the beautiful Shenandoah Mountains of West Virginia where the base of North Mountain and the shores of the Cacapon River meet to surround our 200-acre campsite. Our co-ed camp offers full and half sessions with very diverse free choice programming for campers with every kind of interest. Fun Bot Lab
Coed Day Camp
Fun Bot Lab is a unique robotics and media camp for boys and girls focused on having as much fun with robots as humanly possible. We start with the basic Lego and NXT systems and then modify them, add hardware, submit them to complex challenges all the while teaching important skills in math and science. In the afternoon, we turn to creative digital media formats to create images, music and videos of our experiences.
In the past, students have created animations with Flash, mixed music, created panoramic photography, created commercials, explored DC, made claymation movies and of course - designed, built, programmed all manner of robotic inventions. We have a fun and enthusiastic staff that know their stuff and want to share it with our campers.
Camp Piankatank
Coed Camp with Residential & Day Camp Sessions
Camp Piankatank is a Christian camp for boys and girls located on the beautiful Piankatank River, on the coast of Virginia. We offer overnight adventure camps where campers experience a variety of activities and also overnight specialty camps focusing on sailing, canoeing/kayaking, sports or horseback riding. Camps offered are for ages 7-17.
In all of our activities we teach Biblical principles and campers attend worship services twice daily.
Our camp offers a wonderful, spiritually uplifting week of camp for all. Our staff are highly trained and all are over the age of 18. Campers do not need to be baptist or a member of a church to attend, we have campers from all backgrounds attend.
Bach to Rock - America's Music School
Coed Music Day CampB2R knows that students learn best when they join together to play the music they like the most. That's why we use special arrangements of the music of our time to build self-esteem and motivate students.
In weekly full- and half-day music camps, kids learn to perform in a band, DJ, sing in a glee club or promote their band. No experience necessary. Early-childhood camps for 3.5-6 year olds. Morning, afternoon or full-day sessions are offered from mid-June through August. Winter camp is offered during the winter break and spring camp during spring break.
Cheerio Adventures
Wilderness adventure program
Join us for an Adventure Camp experience like no other! Cheerio Adventures specializes in camp sessions from 3 days up to 14 days of unforgettable adventures. We are a Christian based adventure camp located in the mountains of SW Virginia along the New River. The camp is for boys and girls ages 10-17. All groups consist of 8-12 participants, to maximize the adventure experience and promote strong and long lasting friendships. Our focus on helping young people learn more about themselves, strengthen self-confidence, leadership, teamwork skills, is accomplished while challenging them in a safe and fun Christian setting. Coed Residential Summer CampCamp Motorsport is a co-ed race car and kart driving resident camp for kids ages 9-16. Campers drive every day, with instruction that rivals the best professional racing schools, at a real racetrack, as well as enjoy all of the fun activities of a traditional summer camp, such as campfires, sports, swimming - and more!
We also specialize in motorsports-related sciences and engineering. Campers live in air-conditioned dorms at VIRginia International Raceway, nestled on 1300 acres of rolling hills & woods near Danville Virginia. No prior driving experience required to attend. Camp Hollymont for Girls
Residential girls' summer camp
Are you or your daughter (age 6-15) looking for a vibrant Christian atmosphere and a variety of activities designed to foster physical, emotional, spiritual, and social growth? Camp Hollymont is a residential camp surrounded by the beautiful Western North Carolina mountains. We lease the property of The Asheville School, a private boarding school. Campers live in dorm-style housing and enjoy beautiful grounds and athletic fields, an air conditioned dining hall, and an athletic complex with a large indoor pool.
Choose from daily activities (skills) such as horseback riding, swimming, tennis, archery, sewing, cooking, arts & crafts, drama, basketball, soccer, dance, and more! Camp Arrowhead for Boys

Located in the mountains of Western North Carolina, Camp Arrowhead is a Christian, high-adventure summer camp for boys ages 6-16. Sessions range from one to seven weeks, and since 1937, generations of campers have experienced life-changing summers at Arrowhead.
Our passion is to help every boy become the man God created him to be. Because we are small, and because we actively create a partnership with parents, we will know the specific hopes and needs of your son. Makemie Woods Camp and Conference Center
Residential Christian Camp (Presbyterian/Methodist)Makemie Woods specializes in FUN, while developing self-esteem, a sense of community and belonging and fostering growth in Christ. We offer a wide variety of overnight options and specialty programs for children who have finished kindergarten, through Senior High.
All campers discover the joy of campfires, boating, swimming, crafts, and becoming more connected to nature with relevant Worship and Bible Study. For older campers add in archery, ziplines, drama camps and off-site adventure trips, including Whitewater rafting, sailing, and a high challenge course.
Financial assistance is available. Makemie Woods is a ministry of the Presbyterian Church (USA), welcoming all children.
Bluestone Summer Camp

Bluestone offers four one week camping sessions in June and July. Our Resident Program will accomodate youth entering 3rd through 10th Grade, and our Trip Camps are for high school youth entering 10th through 12th Grades.
Our Summer Camping Program is based on a small group philosophy, which consists of one female and one male counselor to a group of around 10-12 kids. A week at Bluestone will provide campers with excellent opportunities for spiritual and personal growth, for meeting new friends, learning new skills, and challenging themselves.
In addition to daily arts and crafts, swim time and song time, Resident Campers have a daily bible study based on the theme of the summer. Hikes, creek walks, canoeing, sleeping out under the stars, nightly vespers, cookouts and s'mores are just some of the many other things to look forward to at Bluestone! Trip Campers can look forward as well to whitewater canoeing and rafting experiences, as well as other adventure activities depending upon which week they attend.
Woodland Horse Center Summer Camp
Coed Day Camp
Woodland Horse Center, located just 8 miles north of the DC beltway, offers summer camp for boys and girls age 5 through 15. Expert instruction and qualified staff in a safe and fun-filled environment! Campers have a blast as they develope their riding skills and learn all about the horse through demonstrations and interactive lectures. Pony Pals Camp is for kids age 5-7. Horsemanship Camp is for kids age 8-15.
Woodland is Maryland's premier horseback riding center and is located on a 25 acre estate. Come check us out for FREE! Trial lesson is held every Sunday at 1 PM. Meet our horses and staff ! 35 years experience. If you have a horse-crazy kid, this is the place to be!
Randolph-Macon Academy Summer Programs
Coed Camp with Day and Residential Sessions
Randolph-Macon Academy's Middle School Enrichment Camp offers students in grades 6-8 the opportunity to take fun enrichment classes in the areas of science, writing, reading, math, technology, study skills, and history. Students are in class four mornings each week, and spend the afternoons engaged in swimming, sports, community service, nature/conservation activities, and more. Wednesdays are spent at area attractions and museums. Weekends include trips to amusement parks and museums, Jamestown, whitewater rafting, and swimming.
Additional programs: For students in grades 6-12, there is an English as a Second Language (ESL) course, which is an immersion course that features classroom learning, computer-oriented training, and field trips. For high school students in grades 9-12, R-MA offers classes for new and repeat credit, including most core courses, Spanish, and several electives. Flight Camp for students ages 16 to 18, which features ground school and flying time in a Cessna.
Camp Alta Mons
Camp & Retreat Center
Alta Mons Outdoor and Retreat Ministry is located in scenic southwest Virginia, is a ministry of the Roanoke District of the United Methodist Church. The 850-acre mountain and valley historic site was formerly a healing springs retreat known as Crockett Springs. Alta Mons is now a modern camp and retreat center offering a wide variety of programs and year round facility options. We have accomodations for 200+ in the summer and 85+ in the winter. We can provide space for your group's retreat, or let us do everything from the group/teambuilding to the food.
Our Summer camp is for rising first through twelfth graders and offers a small group (10-14 campers and two counselors), Christian, outdoor camping experience. Our prayer is that during your visit you will have an opportunity to experience the splendor of our God.

Of course, the health and safety of each camper is top priority at Kanata; our 1:5 counselor-to-camper ratio assures close supervision of all activities.

Camp Crestridge for Girls is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina. We are a Christian camp with a recreational emphasis. We help our campers to grow physically and mentally through our skill classes, socially through interactions with the staff and their cabinmates, and spiritually through our cabin devotions and Morning Watch times. Our staff are strong Christian role models that are great examples for their campers. We are ACA accredited and members of Christian Camping International. Camp Caraway
Residential boys' summer camp
Camp Caraway is a camp for boys, sponsored by the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina. Boys do not need to be Baptist to attend. We also have a Christian backpacking program called Christian High Adventure, featuring male-only and coed trips.
Our camp is located in the beautiful Uwharrie Mountains, seven miles west of Asheboro, North Carolina. Since 1963 more than 50,000 boys have been challenged toward strengthening their Christian walk at Caraway.

Camp Greenbrier for Boys

A Tradition of Fun Since 1898, Camp Greenbrier is located in the Alleghany Mountains along the beautiful Greenbrier River in Alderson, West Virginia. It is a wonderful, safe place where cameprs have fun, develop self-confidence, and make lifelong friends. Boys 7 to 15 years old take part in the traditional camp program that includes archery and rifle, rock climbing, canoeing, snorkeling, kayaking, baseball, basketball. soccer, golf, tennis, swimming, lacrosse, and others.
For 16 to 18 year olds and those who have finished 10th grade, the Leadership Academy offers campers the chance to disvover their leadership skills in a challenging three-week program. Outdoor activities like rock climbing, airsoft, canoeing, a challenge course, and white water rafting are combined with instruction in areas such as time management, goal setting, public speaking, and leadership methods.

Merestead, the oldest sports camp for girls in the United States, moves into its 66th consecutive season of summer camps for individual players, teams and coaches. Merestead offers camps with unique programs in field hockey, lacrosse, or both sports, which encourages players to grow and excel as athletes and team players. TIC Summer Camp

Since 1983, TIC has offered technology and sports in the Washington DC area. Boys and girls, ages 7 to 16, come to TIC not just to explore technology, but for a kind of personal attention (4:1 camper/staff ratio), excitement and creativity rarely found elsewhere. Our half day sports program offers a physical challenge to balance the mental stimulation of the technology half day. At TIC kids learn by having fun!
Four two-week sessions where campers design their own project in one of the following: programming, film making, animation, robotics, web design, digital arts, and digital music. Sports include soccer, basketball, volleyball, frisbee, flag football, gymnastics; extra cost options available in drama and tennis. Nestled within 700 acres of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, Camp Roanoke is conveniently located just off Interstate 81 exit 132. Since 1925, our campers have enjoyed outdoor adventures such as canoeing, field games, hiking, campfires and a challenge course complete with a 44-foot climbing tower. Camp Cheerio YMCA
Residential camp with separate girls' and coed sessions
Located high atop the Blue Ridge Mountains of northwest North Carolina, YMCA Camp Cheerio is the ideal place for persons of all ages to enjoy a camping or retreat experience. Camp Cheerio offers many challenging programs, from summer resident (sleepover) and coed adventure camps. With over 20 activities to choose from there is something for everyone.
Founded in 1960 by the YMCA of High Point, North Carolina, Camp Cheerio seeks to provide campers with a sustained, creative, and educational experience in the out-of-doors. Through the use of natural surroundings, and under the Christian guidance of trained leadership, YMCA camping seeks to help campers achieve their fullest potential in terms of mental development, physical well-being, social growth, and spiritual awareness.
Traditional Camp: ages 7-15 (girls' and coed sessions); Adventure Camp: ages 10-17 (coed only)

Camp Friendship was founded in 1966 and is still managed by the Ackenbom family. This is a place where campers come back to year after year to visit with old friends and make new ones, supporting our motto "Enter here to be and find a friend". Camp Friendship is more than just fun and games, we also cater to the development needs of our campers. Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains on 520 acres Camp Friendship offers a variety of programs for boys and girls ages 7-16. Traditional camp programs for Juniors and Teens offer more than 40 activities for campers to choose from to create a fun and fulfilling summer.
Our campers can mix and match one-week sessions with VIVA! Trips for teens or add a half-day Sports Clinic including Tennis, Golf, Gymnastics, Soccer, and Waterskiing instructed by qualified instructors. For the girls who just love horses, the Equestrian Program with more than 80 camp-owned horses is the camp program for them! The Camp Friendship staff and its campers have represented over 80 different countries over our 45 years for a diverse cultural interaction.
