Coed Day CampThe Fencers Club Summer Day Camp is a great chance for kids to combine mornings of entertaining educational activities with afternoons engaged with the exciting, fast-paced sport of modern fencing.
Creative writing: Learn to write expressively without constraints. The curriculum will be created by Bruno Navasky, a poet, teacher, author of several books and a writer for the New York Times Sunday Book Review. Math games and logical puzzle solving: Math games and puzzle solving teach fundamentals of mathematical thinking outside of a formal curriculum. The program is designed for us by a group of Harvard math/physics graduates who have extensive tutoring experience and love logical games. Chess: Learn to play chess in a program designed and supervised by Bruce Pandolfini, one of the most highly regarded chess teachers in the US (depicted in the movie Searching for Bobby Fisher). Instruction and game-play at all levels.
FENCING CLASS- Choose your weapon: Epee, Foil or Sabre- Modern fencing is a dynamic, exciting sport. Fencing teaches discipline, grace, agility and strategy. Where learning and fun are rolled into one. . . Now in our 32nd year, National Computer Camp is America's original computer camp since 1977. The focus at NCC is 2D and 3D video game design, computer programming, digital video production, web page design, A+ and Network+ certification and software applications including networking, animation, Flash and graphics. Each week we offer all levels of programming in Basic, C++, Java, Assembler, HTML, XML, OpenGL and JavaScript.
Campers may attend one or multi-week sessions with a continuous curriculum that is age appropriate and suitable for beginners to super advanced.
