Summer Institute for the GiftedGifted students in grades K-12 can participate in the renowned Summer Institute for the Gifted (SIG) program. Hosted at some of the most famous colleges and universities in the country such as Princeton University, Dartmouth College and UC Berkeley, SIG has the best well-rounded program for gifted students as it combines academics, social, cultural and recreational opportunities. Students live and learn on campus for three-weeks, leaving with the additional confidence gained by an experience that is all their own.
Because of our small classes, low teacher-student ratio, and teaching assistants, SIG is able to individualize the program for each and every student. Student safety, security and health are our top priority as SIG programs are well staffed for careful supervision. Phillies Baseball AcademyThe Phillies Baseball Academy offers campers (ages 6-14) an unforgettable baseball experience, an experience they will treasure for a lifetime. During each magical week, campers feel like real Major Leaguers as they take the field in their very own official Phillies uniform and learn from baseball's best. This unique, action-packed camp features top-notch instruction and demonstrations from our experienced Phillies Baseball Academy coaching staff. Our program is designed to meet the needs and ability level of individual campers. All aspects of the game are covered in an atmosphere of sportsmanship and spirited competition.
Each one-week camp takes place at one of our great locations throughout the summer. Camp runs Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. "Extra Innings," our extended day baseball training program, is available daily from 8:00 AM to 8:30 AM and 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM.
Camp RamaquoisCamp Ramaquois is tucked into the foothills of the Ramapo Mountains in Pomona, New York (Rockland County). Tall trees, rolling hills, babbling brooks, and mountain ranges surround our magnificent 44 acres and our 5 acre, crystalline spring-fed lake. We are only 30 minutes from the George Washington Bridge via the scenic Palisades Parkway and 15 minutes from the Tappan Zee Bridge.
Our main goal is to provide Ramaquois campers with a healthy, happy and rewarding summer experience. Each child's camp experience plays a very important role in his/her maturation. Our campers are encouraged to experience new skills, work with their peers and counselors, develop independence and assume responsibility.
All Children's Theatre Summer Performing Arts Day Camps are held at air-conditioned sites in 10 towns and 8 counties in northern and central New Jersey. We offer 17 two-week sessions for boys and girls ages 6-17 including "BROADWAY KIDS", "DISNEY KIDS", "CREATIVE DRAMATICS", and "COMEDY". A mini-camp is also offered for 4-5 year olds.
Participants need not have prior theatre experience to register. They become involved with singing, dancing, acting, scenery design(painting or collage) all culminating with a dress rehearsal and performance(s)for family and friends on the evening of the 10th camp day. Morning and afternoon snacks provided. Campers' lunches are refrigerated on site. All camps are supervised by certified teachers with experience in children's theatre.
