Every day at Coastal Camp is an opportunity for adventure and discovery in the outdoors. Campers engage their curious minds and boundless energy by exploring and investigating the natural world. Coastal Camp finds the place where play and learning meet by combining marine and coastal ecology with hands-on activities, crafts, group games, and hikes exploring the Marin Headlands.

Living Off the Land: From the Ohlones to today's modern farmers- Take a journey back in time to learn how the Bay Area's first human inhabitants lived, and then explore modern sustainable farming. Our activities will include visiting an Ohlone site, berry-picking, getting our hands dirty in a garden and working on a farm.
Water Worlds: Exploring the Bay Area's Wet Ecosystems- This week is all about water! Bay water, ocean water, creek water, pond water. It's all here! Get ready to get wet!

Roughing It is a traditional all-outdoors day camp located on a lakefront site in Lafayette (SF East Bay). Founded in 1972 and voted "Best in the Bay", Roughing It is owned and personally directed by Hobie and Ann Woods, who have over 70 years of combined experience in organized summer camps and youth leadership. Roughing It offers 2, 4, and 8 week programs for children 4 1/2 - 16 years of age.
Campers take part in a balanced variety of activities that emphasis personal growth, skill development, and fun! Activities include Horseback Riding, Trail Riding, Animal Care, Fishing, Rowing, Canoeing, Kayaking, Swimming, Adventure, Sports, Crafts, Outdoors, Environment, Traditional Camp Games, and more. Roughing It also offers specialty English and Western Horse Camps (3rd-10th grade) for beginner to advanced riders.
Transportation is provided at no extra charge. We offer home pickup and pickup at central locations, depending on area. Douglas Ranch Camp is an 80+ year old, family owned and operated, traditional residential & day coed camp. Residential camp is for ages 7-14 and Day camp is for 5-14. We are located on 120 acres in beautiful Carmel Valley, CA. Our unique 4 to 1 ratio of campers to staff provides individualized attention for each child in a structured program of classes in Western riding, swimming, tennis, archery, riflery and crafts. Counselors from across the US and around the world are chosen for their experience working with children, coaching sports, and having values that make them excellent role models. They help campers build self-confidence and social skills to last a lifetime, while encouraging them to try new experiences in a nurturing environment.

Camp Del Oro is located in the Sierra mountians of northen California. We are a Salvation army camp and our Christian ministry is with underprivildged children ages 7 to 15 years old. In the five day sessions the campers will be able to swim in a lake and pool, boating, crafts, ropes course, archery, hiking, dance, basketball and field games. Our 45 staff come from all over the world to give the campers a safe and fun environment. It is a ten week program ending the middle of August.
