"Building Character through the Camping Experience" is the foundation upon which the Eagles Landing programs were established. Eagles Landing & The Night Owls is located on a beautiful 82 acre campus. ELC is a leader in the camping industry because of their attention to the individual camper, outstanding facilities, superb staff, and the family atmosphere.
The Night Owls - a Monday-Friday resident camp program, offers an overnight program where they sleep on the campus all week and go home on the weekends. ELC's overnighters are finishing 1st - 9th grades. For the Night Owls, period lengths are longer, in the afternoon, when the day campers go home, our "Night Owls" spread their wings and experience special events not available to day campers, including sports leagues, & individual choice clinics. Our goal is to cater to our campers' growing maturity while monitoring their activities in an age appropriate manner.

Since 1919 YMCA Camp Winona has provided the finest in camping services to every person attending our programs. YMCA Camp Winona is set on 60 secluded acres of beautiful pine forest in West Volusia County Florida. Spring-fed Lake Winona fronts the camp and the entire camp is covered by numerous shade trees.

Camp Woodmont

A smaller-sized traditional summer camp with extremely close owner supervision. Camp owner Jane Bennett, along with her two children, camp directors Tyran Bennett and Alyson Bennett Gondek are hands-on camp directors with extensive qualifications (see below).
All counseling staff are college students and undergo extensive interviews, background checks and on-site director-led training including five days of climbing and high ropes training led by nationally known trainers, a four-day American Red Cross Lifeguard, CPR and First Aid certification class led by camp director and Red Cross instructor Tyran Bennett; and Archery certification. Both directors are certified horseback riding instructors and we also send staff to a horseback safety clinic. We top off all this specialty training with a full week of camp policy and activities training immediately prior to camp start.
Our family-type atmosphere means we can get to know every camper; it gives younger campers a feeling of reassurance and belonging and older campers a chance to grow and contribute in a community of support. Our traditional program includes extensive arts/crafts and performing arts as well as sports, aquatics, horseback riding, high adventure and much more.

Gifted students in grades K-12 can participate in the renowned Summer Institute for the Gifted (SIG) program. Hosted at some of the most famous colleges and universities in the country such as Princeton University, Dartmouth College and UC Berkeley, SIG has the best well-rounded program for gifted students as it combines academics, social, cultural and recreational opportunities. Students live and learn on campus for three-weeks, leaving with the additional confidence gained by an experience that is all their own.
Because of our small classes, low teacher-student ratio, and teaching assistants, SIG is able to individualize the program for each and every student. Student safety, security and health are our top priority as SIG programs are well staffed for careful supervision. Burnt Gin Camp

Camp Burnt Gin is a statewide camp for children, teens and young adults who have a physical disability and/or chronic illness. Camp Burnt Gin runs four seven-day sessions for 7-15 year olds; two six-day sessions for 16-20 year olds and a four-day session for 21-25 year olds. 1 to 2 staff to camper ratio.
A variety of traditional camp activities offered. At Camp Burnt Gin, emphasis is placed on what a child can do rather than his limitations.

Outward Bound, a national nonprofit organization, offers over 500 adventure-based courses - year round - serving adults, teens and youth (ages 12+).
Course activities include rock climbing, sea kayaking, backpacking, mountaineering, sailing, dogsledding, canoeing and rafting in some of the most untouched wilderness areas across the nation. No matter the activity, courses focus on learning through experience, compassion, leadership and responsibility to both team and the environment. Gwynn Valley Camp

Since 1935, a summer camp for Boys and Girls, ages 5-14. Offering a farm, wilderness and traditional program that nurtures the child while fostering a connection with the land and the simple joys of childhood. The strength of Gwynn Valley is its nurturing environment in a child centered world where each camper will learn and grow under the guidance of a mature and caring staff. We maintain a camper / staff ratio of 4:1. Our program is a non-competitive, residential camp, offering sessions of 1, 2 and 3 weeks in length. We grow 70% of our food on the farm and operate a 1890's Grist Mill as part of our varied program. We also operate a small day camp for children K-4th grade.

SOAR, Inc.
Wilderness adventure program
For over 30 years, SOAR has provided multi-length, adventure programs for youth diagnosed with ADHD and/or learning disabilities. Recognizing the outdoors provides an ideal classroom where relevant learning can occur and life skills can be taught, emphasis is placed on developing self-confidence, social skills, and problem solving techniques. Courses are co-ed, and are developed for youth ages 8 - 18 with average or above average intelligence and physical aptitude. Staff to student ratio is low, and instructors are hired for qualities of maturity and caring, enabling them to relate to students and enhance their adventure experience.
Activities vary by location and range from snorkeling and kayaking in the Florida Keys; backpacking, and whitewater rafting in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina; surfing and sea kayaking along the California Coast; and horsepacking and fishing in the Wind River Mountains of Wyoming and much more. Specialty courses include a trip to the rainforests of Costa Rica, learning to whitewater kayak and even participating in a western rodeo! New programs incude a Northern California Expedition and a traditional camp model in sunny Florida.

Since 1922, YMCA Camp Cosby has set the standard of excellence in quality overnight camping in the Southeast. Located only one hour from Birmingham and two hours from Atlanta, boys and girls ages 6-16 have the opportunity to grow, learn, and challenge themselves during week long sessions. Camp Rockfish is a living laboratory of Christian faith! Our goal is to share the love of Christ and nurture everyone to grow in His grace. Experience a camp where all are equal in God's eyes and where we celebrate the activities, not winning and losing.
The Rockfish experience is Christian education in a small community of co-ed groups, each with 8-12 campers and two trained counselors in a family atmosphere. Experience nights in a tree house, the thrill of white water, hayrides, archery, astronomy, nature, photography, a 40' climbing wall, paddleboats, grizzly swims and the Floating-Fire-Funanza.

Strong Rock is a co-ed Christian camp for K5 - 9th graders located just an hour and a half northeast of Atlanta.
Campers are loved unconditionally and accepted for who they are. They are surrounded by solid Christian role models who build their self-confidence and nurture independence. Our goal is to help every camper become the young man or woman that God created them to be. We partner with parents as they raise their children to have a positive impact in their communities.
Days are packed with a variety of classes. Residential coed summer campCamp Hopewell offers a wide variety of events throughout the year. During the summer, we have 4 weeks of Church Camp. These camp sessions are open to all young people between the ages of 7-15. We also have an introduction to camp called Wee Bit Camp, which is a 3 day camp for campers ages 6-9; and a Leadership Adventure Camp for 16-17 year-olds. For the more mature camper, aged 50 and older, Hopewell hosts XYZ camp just for them.
Special camps also play a very important role in the summer here at Hopewell. We offer 2 weeks of camp for Children and Youth with Diabetes, a session for families that have a child with cancer.

Established in 1927, Camp Toccoa has been serving youth from all over the US for over 80 years! We are located in Toccoa, Georgia on 175 wooded acres in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Camp Toccoa offers Classic Camp, Horseback Camp and Adventure Camp programs. Activities include archery, canoeing, art and crafts, horseback riding, high ropes, and environmental education. One and two week residential sessions are offered from June to August. One week day camp sessions are offered from June to August for day campers in grades 1-9.

Although large in scale, the campsite is over 300 acres nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Northeastern Georgia; in contrast, we choose to keep our enrollment small. For ninety-three consecutive summers Camp Dixie for Boys & Girls philosophy that smaller numbers of campers and excellent leadership ratios create the most successful environment for nurturing an adventuresome spirit.
Most often, the majority of our counselors have grown up through the program and are eager to pass on the Dixie Spirit to those coming behind them! Our alumnae stay actively involved. It is a pleasure to see generations in each family grow through our program.
At ninety-three, some changes have occurred. Modern bathhouses and a winterized Dining Hall have replaced memorable, earlier construction. Yet our alumnae are happy to see that the rustic, two-story cabins, filled with the fresh smell of the white pines that shade the cabin-line boardwalk are there to great them when they visit. We are fortunate to have a camping history steeped in cherished traditions. Camp Broadstone is Appalachian State University's year round outdoor adventure and retreat center with a specialized summer camp for academically gifted youth. Its 55 acres of woods and meadows are located in the small community of Valle Crucis nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Programs are designed to encourage and to foster intellectual, social, and physical growth. One and two week sessions available.
Enrichment Program provides current 4th through 9th grade campers an opportunity to explore a blend of enrichment classes in science, arts, cultural and environmental studies and adventure activities in high ropes, climbing, canoeing, rafting, hiking and camping trips. Day Camp program is for grades 3-6.

Kampus Kampers is a co-ed sleep away transition camp, ages 6-13. Campers sleepover Monday to Friday and go home on the weekends. Kampus Kampers is located in south Florida on Lynn University campus. The campers and counselors are housed in air-conditioned dorm rooms.

Camp Winnataska

Camp Winnataska, established in 1918, offers "Christian Camping at its Best". Summer camp begins in June for boys and girls ages 6-15 for six, one week sessions with scheduled mini-camps for the younger campers ages 6-8. Camps are all girls or coed. Daily activities include swimming, canoes, horseback riding, recreation, nature study, outdoors, and low ropes course. Night activities include Indian Night, Country Night, "Mission Impossible", and the Pageant of the Holy Grail.
Other camps included in our summer schedule are: Young Teen Asthma Camp and Friends for Life, a camp for special needs campers of all ages. This is just the calendar for the summer but we are open year round for hiking, outings and other events for schools, churches, corporations and families. Camp Winnataska, the second oldest continuous running camp for boys and girls in America, is 20 minutes east of Birmingham.
Green River Preserve
Residential, coed natural science summer camp
Play under waterfalls, track wild animals, explore mountain forests with naturalists. Green River Preserve is a 3400 acre wildlife preserve and summer camp for bright, curious, and creative children. Serving rising 2nd through 9th graders, our camp is nurturing, noncompetitive and purposefully small with enrollment limited to 104. After morning hikes, campers choose from over 20 elective activities including rock climbing, pottery, archery, fly fishing, music, art and drama. 1, 2 and 3 week sessions are available.
For rising 9th through 12 graders, we offer Green River Expeditions- two-week canoeing, backpacking and kayaking adventures which follow the Green River tradition of combining learning with exploration.
The Vineyard

The Vineyard is more than just an outstanding sports camp and conference center. It is a ministry dedicated to discipleship. From the beginning, it has been our threefold goal to share God's love, demonstrate (through the lives of our staff) holy living, and explain the challenge of discipleship. Most of our campers come from Christian backgrounds (Catholic and Protestant), but any child of any conviction is welcomed.
Prior to arriving at the camp, each camper chooses a "major". Boys go to their majors in the afternoon, girls in the morning. While boys are at majors, girls attend electives, and vice versa. The electives (two difference choices each day) are chosen at breakfast. The majors offer in-depth instruction, two hours per day, for the entire week.
Easter Seals Camp ASCCA
Residential coed special needs campEaster Seals Camp ASCCA means fun for the 7,500+ visitors who spend time at the facility each year. Campers who have disabilities ranging from Spina Bifida, Cerebral Palsy, Paraplegia, and Quadriplegia to Downs Syndrome, Autism, Mild, Moderate and Profound Mental Disabilities enjoy unique camping experiences at Camp ASCCA.
Activity areas include Aquatic (water skiing, tubing, pontoon boating, swimming, and flat water canoeing), Outdoor Adventure (climbing tower, zip line and low ropes course), and Outdoor Education (wildlife and farm animal studies, horseback riding, fishing, archery, riflery, arts and crafts, along with a variety of sports).
