Kanata, under the guidance of caring counselors and staff, surrounded by natural beauty, your child can spend the summer exploring and experiencing. Not just growing in inches, but growing into his or her own.

Coed Residential CampStoney Creek Camp is a family and volunteer oriented facility. We have all the recreational amenities imaginable, from a double waterslide to a zip line tour. Lodges are equipped with the amenities of home and allow you to stay overnight, worship or meet, and cook for yoursleves in your own space.
CAMP 2540 is focused on under-privileged youth. This program allows as many qualified youth to attend for free as sponsorships allow. We work deligently to get sponsorships for as many as possible. We also have mission oriented trips for church groups to help attending youth on their summer trip.

Residential Coed CampCamp McConnell is a traditional coed summer camp with over 40 years of operational experience for children ages 7-15. We strive to enrich the lives and character of every camper through our core values: caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.
Camp offers 1, 2, & 3 week sessions for boys and girls. Activities include arts n' crafts, archery, BB gun, dance, canoeing, basketball, baseball, soccer, drama, outdoor skills, riflery, tennis, swimming, volleyball, weight training, horseback riding and climbing. Campers can challenge themselves on our High and Low Ropes course and horseback ridding, and improve swimming skills in our Olympic sized pool.

A smaller-sized traditional summer camp with extremely close owner supervision. Camp owner Jane Bennett, along with her two children, camp directors Tyran Bennett and Alyson Bennett Gondek are hands-on camp directors with extensive qualifications (see below).
All counseling staff are college students and undergo extensive interviews, background checks and on-site director-led training including five days of climbing and high ropes training led by nationally known trainers, a four-day American Red Cross Lifeguard, CPR and First Aid certification class led by camp director and Red Cross instructor Tyran Bennett; and Archery certification. Both directors are certified horseback riding instructors and we also send staff to a horseback safety clinic. We top off all this specialty training with a full week of camp policy and activities training immediately prior to camp start.
Our family-type atmosphere means we can get to know every camper; it gives younger campers a feeling of reassurance and belonging and older campers a chance to grow and contribute in a community of support. Our traditional program includes extensive arts/crafts and performing arts as well as sports, aquatics, horseback riding, high adventure and much more.

Gifted students ages 4-17 can participate in the renowned Summer Institute for the Gifted (SIG) program. Hosted at pretigious colleges and universities, SIG has an excellent well-rounded program for gifted students as it combines academics, social, cultural and recreational opportunities. Our programs provide students with academic challenges designed to fit their abilities and interests. It also provides them with the opportunity to engage with other students who have similar abilities and interests. Because of our small classes, low teacher-student ratio, and an assistant in every class, we are able to individualize the program for each student. Students live and learn on campus for three weeks, leaving with the confidence gained by an experience that is all their own.

A Camping Tradition Since 1914 Camp Dixie provides a supportive, family-like environment by limiting its enrollment to 70 campers. Considered conservative and traditional, our summer residential program is designed for children between the ages of 6 to 15. Located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of northeast Georgia, near Clayton at an elevation of 3000 feet, Camp Dixie covers more than 345 lush acres.

Adamah Adventures
Wilderness Adventure - United States
Adamah Adventures is an outdoor adventure summer program for Jewish teens. We help our campers develop self-confidence, independence, and a sense of adventure while building a strong community focused on environmentalism and the joy of Jewish life. During the 18-day trek, campers work in small groups alongside highly trained staff members to experience both the thrill and the quiet; the whitewater and the campfire; in some of the most awe-inspiring places in the country.
Adamah Adventures now offers four treks to choose from. The first trek is to the lush landscape of the Blue Ridge Mountains (Georgia, Tennessee, and South Carolina). The second adventure visits the mountains and coast of North Carolina on the Peaks and Paddles Trek. The third trek to the Pacific Northwest features snow-capped mountain peaks and wild ocean beaches. Our fourth trek, Oregon Service, allows 10th-12th graders to make a difference while exploring the mountains and craters of Oregon. Join us for an Adventure Camp experience like no other! Cheerio Adventures specializes in camp sessions from 3 days up to 14 days of unforgettable adventures. We are a Christian based adventure camp located in the mountains of SW Virginia along the New River. The camp is for boys and girls ages 10-17. All groups consist of 8-12 participants, to maximize the adventure experience and promote strong and long lasting friendships. Our focus on helping young people learn more about themselves, strengthen self-confidence, leadership, teamwork skills, is accomplished while challenging them in a safe and fun Christian setting. All equipment is provided.
Trips take place in NC, TN, VA and WV. Activities include rock climbing, canoeing, kayaking, whitewater rafting, backpacking, caving, mountain biking, sailing, wind surfing and more.

Wilderness adventure program
SOAR has provided multi-length, high adventure programs for youth diagnosed with ADHD and/or learning disabilities for over 35 years. Recognizing that the outdoors provides an ideal classroom where relevant learning can occur and life skills can be taught, emphasis is placed on developing self-confidence, social skills, and problem solving techniques. Course are co-ed, and are dveloped for youth ages 8-25 with average to above average intelligence and physical ability. Staff to student ratio is low, and instructors are hired for qualities of maturity, caring and passion for working with our population in the outdoor setting.
Activities vary by location and range from snorkeling and fishing in the Florida keys; backpacking and rafting in the Blue Ridge mountains of NC; surfing and sea kayaking in California; horsepacking and fishing in the Wind River Mountains of Wyoming; to canoeing and rock climbing in the Adirondack mountains of New York. Specialty courses include a trip tropical Belize, learning to whitewater kayak in North Carolina, earning SCUBA certifications in Florida, and even participating in a Wyoming Rodeo! Our Postgraduate program serves young adults ages 18-25.

Green River Preserve
Residential, coed environmental summer camp
Play under waterfalls, track wild animals, explore mountain forests with naturalists. Green River Preserve is a 3400 acre wildlife preserve and summer camp for bright, curious, and creative children. Serving rising 2nd through 9th graders, our camp is nurturing, noncompetitive and purposefully small with enrollment limited to 104. After morning hikes, campers choose from over 20 elective activities including rock climbing, pottery, archery, fly fishing, music, art and drama. 1, 2 and 3 week sessions are available.
For rising 9th through 12 graders, we offer Green River Expeditions- two-week canoeing, backpacking and kayaking adventures which follow the Green River tradition of combining learning with exploration.
Eagle's Nest Camp and Hante Adventures
Residential coed summer campEagle's Nest is a magical place that encourages wonder and helps children grow through meaningful experiences. Campers discover what it means to belong: to rocks and rivers, forests and friends. Children participate in a variety of self-selected activities, including wilderness adventures (backpacking, climbing, canoeing, gardening), arts (songwriting, musical theatre, darkroom photography, blacksmithing) and athletics (horseback riding, Ultimate Frisbee, archery). Camp Burnt Gin is a statewide camp for children, teens and young adults who have a physical disability and/or chronic illness. Camp Burnt Gin runs four six-day sessions for 7-15 year olds; two six-day sessions for 16-20 year olds and a four-day session for 21-25 year olds. 1 to 2 staff to camper ratio.
A variety of traditional camp activities offered. At Camp Burnt Gin, emphasis is placed on what a child can do rather than his limitations.

Residential coed summer campWe have provided a fun and enriching experience for children for over 50 years. Our small size and 3:1 camper:staff ratio insures the individual attention needed to have a fulfilling summer. Our family farm provides exciting "chores" as an integral part of the camp day. Plenty of structure allows for healthy choices without being regimented.
Activities include crafts, wood shop, drama, nature, swimming, innertubing, hiking and campouts. Older children do 2-4 day backpacking trips. Camp games focus on teamwork and cooperation rather than competition.
Gwynn Valley Camp

Since 1935, a summer camp for Boys and Girls, ages 5-14 which offers a farm, wilderness and traditional program that nurtures the child while fostering a connection with the land and the simple joys of childhood. The strength of Gwynn Valley is its nurturing environment in a child centered world where each camper will learn and grow under the guideance of a mature and caring staff. We are committed to each individual becoming a vital part of the community. Simplicity, acceptance, a non-competitive program, and an appreciation of the natural world are our core values. We maintain a camper/staff ratio of 3:1. Our residential camp offers sessions of 1, 2, and 3 weeks in length. We grow 70% of our food on our farm and operate an 1890's Grist Mill as an extension of that program. We also have a small Day Camp for children K-4th grade.
Primary activities at our coed camp include: Horseback Riding, Outdoor Living Skills, Farm, Mountain Biking, Texture Crafts, Rock Climbing, Grist Mill, Waterfront, Whitewater Kayaking and Canoeing, Pioneer Crafts, Sports, Fine Arts, Web of Life, and Backpacking and much more.
Seacamp
Residential Coed Camp
Since 1966, Seacamp is the first program dedicated to the education of youth in marine sciences.
Seacamp's location in the Florida Keys allows for a truly unique marine science program, providing an array of activities under the guidance of academically-trained instructors. Students work at their own level of interest, choosing from 24 different areas of study.
Seacamp's SCUBA diving program is open to qualified campers. Courses are designed to give the diver training in SCUBA techniques enabling them to use SCUBA as a tool for underwater research. Satisfactory completion of Basic or Master Diver certification course earns certification through NAUI. Already certified campers choose from our combined marine science/SCUBA courses.
Seacamp aquatics programs include sailing and windsurfing. US Sail certification is offered to beginners in sailing. Seacamp offers the American Red Cross course in lifeguarding.

Kanata, under the guidance of caring counselors and staff, surrounded by natural beauty, your child can spend the summer exploring and experiencing. Not just growing in inches, but growing into his or her own.
Kanata combines an array of opportunities for skill development and an emphasis on character growth with a mighty mix of fun and adventure, and then wraps it all up in a safe, protective environment that both kids and parents can feel good about.
Within this warm, friendly atmosphere, kids can meet new friends, extend their abilities and develop greater strength of character and personality. Of course, the health and safety of each camper is top priority at Kanata; our 1:5 counselor-to-camper ratio assures close supervision of all activities.
Activities include: athletics, dramatic arts, canoeing, swimming, riflery, archery, horseback, arts & crafts. Camp season is June to August for coed campers ages 6-15.
