6 Points Sports Academy
Coed residential camp
6 Points Sports Academy is a Jewish Sports Specialty Camp. Located in beautiful Greensboro, NC, 6 Points Sports Academy is housed on the 100 acre, state-of-the-art, athletic and camp facilities of the American Hebrew Academy. At 6 Points, young Jewish athletes participate in a unique camping experience that offers top-level sports training and all the beloved traditions of Reform Jewish camping.
6 Points campers are recreational and competitive athletes, age from 9-16, who are looking to improve their game, meet new friends while exploring their own Jewish identity through sports. During our two weeks sessions, campers will participate in intensive sports training in one of the following sports: boys and girls basketball, soccer and tennis; girl's lacrosse and boy's baseball; campers also select two elective sports each week for cross conditioning and recreation. For a well-rounded Reform Jewish Camp experience, campers will also participate in traditional camp activities, while living among other Jewish athletes, learning sports and life skills from professional coaches and Jewish counselors. Outward Bound
Wilderness adventure programs worldwide
Outward Bound, a national nonprofit organization, offers over 500 adventure-based courses - year round - serving adults, teens and youth (ages 12+).
Course activities include rock climbing, sea kayaking, backpacking, mountaineering, sailing, dogsledding, canoeing and rafting in some of the most untouched wilderness areas across the nation. No matter the activity, courses focus on learning through experience, compassion, leadership and responsibility to both team and the environment. Courses range in length from 4 days to three months in length. Scholarships are available.

Camp Broadstone
Coed Residential and Day Camp for Gifted Youth
Camp Broadstone is Appalachian State University's year round outdoor adventure and retreat center with a specialized summer camp for academically gifted youth. Its 55 acres of woods and meadows are located in the small community of Valle Crucis nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Programs are designed to encourage and to foster intellectual, social, and physical growth. One and two week sessions available.
Enrichment Program provides current 4th through 9th grade campers an opportunity to explore a blend of enrichment classes in science, arts, cultural and environmental studies and adventure activities in high ropes, climbing, canoeing, rafting, hiking and camping trips. Day Camp program is for grades 3-5.

Green River Preserve
Residential, coed natural science summer camp
Play under waterfalls, track wild animals, explore mountain forests with naturalists. Green River Preserve is a 3400 acre wildlife preserve and summer camp for bright, curious, and creative children. Serving rising 2nd through 9th graders, our camp is nurturing, noncompetitive and purposefully small with enrollment limited to 104. After morning hikes, campers choose from over 20 elective activities including rock climbing, pottery, archery, fly fishing, music, art and drama. 1, 2 and 3 week sessions are available.
For rising 9th through 12 graders, we offer Green River Expeditions- two-week canoeing, backpacking and kayaking adventures which follow the Green River tradition of combining learning with exploration.
Camp Celo
Residential coed summer campWe have provided a fun and enriching experience for children for over 50 years. Our small size and 3:1 camper:staff ratio insures the individual attention needed to have a fulfilling summer. Our family farm provides exciting "chores" as an integral part of the camp day. Plenty of structure allows for healthy choices without being regimented.
Activities include crafts, wood shop, drama, nature, swimming, innertubing, hiking and campouts. Older children do 2-4 day backpacking trips. Camp games focus on teamwork and cooperation rather than competition.

Camp Woodmont
Residential coed summer camp
A smaller-sized traditional summer camp with extremely close owner supervision. Camp owner Jane Bennett, along with her two children, camp directors Tyran Bennett and Alyson Bennett Gondek are hands-on camp directors with extensive qualifications (see below).
All counseling staff are college students and undergo extensive interviews, background checks and on-site director-led training including five days of climbing and high ropes training led by nationally known trainers, a four-day American Red Cross Lifeguard, CPR and First Aid certification class led by camp director and Red Cross instructor Tyran Bennett; and Archery certification. Both directors are certified horseback riding instructors and we also send staff to a horseback safety clinic. We top off all this specialty training with a full week of camp policy and activities training immediately prior to camp start.
Our family-type atmosphere means we can get to know every camper; it gives younger campers a feeling of reassurance and belonging and older campers a chance to grow and contribute in a community of support. Our traditional program includes extensive arts/crafts and performing arts as well as sports, aquatics, horseback riding, high adventure and much more.

Since 1935, a summer camp for Boys and Girls, ages 5-14 which offers a farm, wilderness and traditional program that nurtures the child while fostering a connection with the land and the simple joys of childhood. The strength of Gwynn Valley is its nurturing environment in a child centered world where each camper will learn and grow under the guideance of a mature and caring staff. We maintain a camper/staff ratio of 3:1. Our residential camp offers sessions of 1, 2, and 3 weeks in length. Kampus Kampers
Residential coed summer campKampus Kampers is a co-ed sleep away transition camp, ages 6-13. Campers sleepover Monday to Friday and go home on the weekends. Kampus Kampers is located in south Florida on Lynn University campus. The campers and counselors are housed in air-conditioned dorm rooms.
A Monday to Friday coed sleep away camp. There are a variety of day programs to chose from such as Super Sports, Arts & Crafts, Computers, Circus, and traditional, to name a few. Night activities include campfires, pool parties, talent shows, sports, and arts and crafts.
Summer Institute for the Gifted
Coed Camps with Residential & Day Camp Sessions
Gifted students in grades K-12 can participate in the renowned Summer Institute for the Gifted (SIG) program. Hosted at some of the most famous colleges and universities in the country such as Princeton University, Dartmouth College and UC Berkeley, SIG has the best well-rounded program for gifted students as it combines academics, social, cultural and recreational opportunities. Students live and learn on campus for three-weeks, leaving with the additional confidence gained by an experience that is all their own.
Because of our small classes, low teacher-student ratio, and teaching assistants, SIG is able to individualize the program for each and every student. Student safety, security and health are our top priority as SIG programs are well staffed for careful supervision. Ten day programs are available for younger students and most of our residential programs have a commuter option. Our more than 25 years of experience have made us the leading organization in the field.

Eagle's Nest Camp and Hante Adventures
Residential coed summer campEagle's Nest is a magical place that encourages wonder and helps children grow through meaningful experiences. Campers discover what it means to belong: to rocks and rivers, forests and friends. Sea Turtle Camp

Sea Turtle Camp is the ultimate marine biology summer camp for teenagers. Come stay on the campus of UNC-Wilmington, located in the coastal community of Wilmington, North Carolina, and become fully immersed in the incredible world of sea turtles.
In addition to working with the staff at the Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Hospital, we'll explore several fields of marine biology. We'll become Aquarists at the NC Aquarium, study dune erosion and renourishment while learning about ocean and wave dymanics, and go kayaking through our amazing estuaries. Coastal conservation is a compelling mission of this camp, so we'll spend up to 20 community service hours working on eco-service projects that will directly improve the health of our coast. Camp Cosby YMCA

Since 1922, YMCA Camp Cosby has set the standard of excellence in quality overnight camping in the Southeast. Located only one hour from Birmingham and two hours from Atlanta, boys and girls ages 6-16 have the opportunity to grow, learn, and challenge themselves during week long sessions. Camp staff provide a friendly, safe, diverse, and most of all fun community that includes a mix of cabin life and traditional camp activities. As part of our mission, all campers have the opportunity to experience every activity at Camp Cosby for one low tuition cost.

Seacamp
Residential Coed Camp
Since 1966, Seacamp is the first program dedicated to the education of youth in marine sciences.
Seacamp's location in the Florida Keys allows for a truly unique marine science program, providing an array of activities under the guidance of academically-trained instructors. Students work at their own level of interest, choosing from 24 different areas of study.
Seacamp's SCUBA diving program is open to qualified campers. Courses are designed to give the diver training in SCUBA techniques enabling them to use SCUBA as a tool for underwater research. Satisfactory completion of Basic or Master Diver certification course earns certification through NAUI. Already certified campers choose from our combined marine science/SCUBA courses.
Seacamp aquatics programs include sailing and windsurfing. US Sail certification is offered to beginners in sailing. Seacamp offers the American Red Cross course in lifeguarding.
YMCA Camp McConnell
Residential coed summer campCamp McConnell is in the heart of Florida, with 200+ acres including an auxiliary farm, challenge course, lake, Olympic-size swimming pool, and air conditioned facilities. Coed Outdoor Adventure Program for Jewish Teens
At Adamah Adventures we help our campers develop self-confidence, independence, and a sense of adventure while building a strong community focused on environmentalism and the joy of Jewish life. During the 18-day trek, campers work in small groups alongside highly trained staff members to experience both the thrill and the quiet - the whitewater and the campfire - in some of the most awe-inspiring places in the country.
The upcoming summer includes two exciting itineraries. The Blue Ridge Mountains trek highlights include a rafting overnight on the world-class Chattooga River, rock climbing, and the longest zipline in the south! The Utah trek includes hikes in three stunning national parks, a three-day rafting trip on the Colorado River, and a sunset Hummer tour.

Burnt Gin Camp
Residential special needs campCamp Burnt Gin is a statewide camp for children, teens and young adults who have a physical disability and/or chronic illness. Camp Burnt Gin runs four seven-day sessions for 7-15 year olds; two six-day sessions for 16-20 year olds and a four-day session for 21-25 year olds. 1 to 2 staff to camper ratio.
A variety of traditional camp activities offered. At Camp Burnt Gin, emphasis is placed on what a child can do rather than his limitations.
Cheerio Adventures

Join us for an Adventure Camp experience like no other! Cheerio Adventures specializes in camp sessions from 3 days up to 14 days of unforgettable adventures. We are a Christian based adventure camp located in the mountains of SW Virginia along the New River. The camp is for boys and girls ages 10-17. All groups consist of 8-12 participants, to maximize the adventure experience and promote strong and long lasting friendships. Coed Residential Camp for Autistic Children
Camp Lakey Gap is a residential summer camp for children, ages 4 to 17, on the autism spectrum. We strive to nurture children on the autism spectrum with an enriching summer camp experience not possible in a traditional camp setting. We make every effort to serve all people with autism, regardless of the degree of disability.
Campers receive 1:1 or 1:2 staff ratio to support them in participating in visually structured activities throughout the week. Activities include hiking, swimming, arts and crafts, music, outdoor games, gardening, canoeing, lake play and more.
Our staff are college and graduate students who are usually pursuing a degree in special education, psychology, or a related human services field. They participate in a thorough week long training that fully prepares them for working with children on the autism spectrum. The staff is supported, throughout the summer, by local autism professionals who consult to the program daily.

Wilderness adventure program
For over 30 years, SOAR has provided multi-length, adventure programs for youth diagnosed with ADHD and/or learning disabilities. Recognizing the outdoors provides an ideal classroom where relevant learning can occur and life skills can be taught, emphasis is placed on developing self-confidence, social skills, and problem solving techniques. Courses are co-ed, and are developed for youth ages 8 - 18 with average or above average intelligence and physical aptitude. Staff to student ratio is low, and instructors are hired for qualities of maturity and caring, enabling them to relate to students and enhance their adventure experience.
Activities vary by location and range from snorkeling and kayaking in the Florida Keys; backpacking, and whitewater rafting in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina; surfing and sea kayaking along the California Coast; and horsepacking and fishing in the Wind River Mountains of Wyoming and much more. Specialty courses include a trip to the rainforests of Costa Rica, learning to whitewater kayak and even participating in a western rodeo! New programs incude a Northern California Expedition and a traditional camp model in sunny Florida.

Memorable and meaningful ... Safe and happy ... Strong and confidant ... these are the adjectives used by generations of campers and parents who we define as our Dixie Family. Although large in scale, the campsite is over 300 acres nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Northeastern Georgia; in contrast, we choose to keep our enrollment small. For ninety-three consecutive summers Camp Dixie for Boys & Girls philosophy that smaller numbers of campers and excellent leadership ratios create the most successful environment for nurturing an adventuresome spirit.
Most often, the majority of our counselors have grown up through the program and are eager to pass on the Dixie Spirit to those coming behind them! Our alumnae stay actively involved. It is a pleasure to see generations in each family grow through our program.
At ninety-three, some changes have occurred. Modern bathhouses and a winterized Dining Hall have replaced memorable, earlier construction. Yet our alumnae are happy to see that the rustic, two-story cabins, filled with the fresh smell of the white pines that shade the cabin-line boardwalk are there to great them when they visit. We are fortunate to have a camping history steeped in cherished traditions. Where learning and fun are rolled into one. . . Now in our 32nd year, National Computer Camp is America's original computer camp since 1977. The focus at NCC is 2D and 3D video game design, computer programming, digital video production, web page design, A+ and Network+ certification and software applications including networking, animation, Flash and graphics. Residential coed summer campCamp Hopewell offers a wide variety of events throughout the year. During the summer, we have 4 weeks of Church Camp. These camp sessions are open to all young people between the ages of 7-15. We also have an introduction to camp called Wee Bit Camp, which is a 3 day camp for campers ages 6-9; and a Leadership Adventure Camp for 16-17 year-olds. For the more mature camper, aged 50 and older, Hopewell hosts XYZ camp just for them.
Special camps also play a very important role in the summer here at Hopewell. We offer 2 weeks of camp for Children and Youth with Diabetes, a session for families that have a child with cancer.

Located in beautiful Greensboro, NC, 6 Points Sports Academy is housed on the 100 acre, state-of-the-art, athletic and camp facilities of the American Hebrew Academy. At 6 Points, young Jewish athletes participate in a unique camping experience that offers top-level sports training and all the beloved traditions of Reform Jewish camping.
6 Points campers are recreational and competitive athletes, age from 9-16, who are looking to improve their game, meet new friends while exploring their own Jewish identity through sports. During our two weeks sessions, campers will participate in intensive sports training in one of the following sports: boys and girls basketball, soccer and tennis; girl's lacrosse and boy's baseball; campers also select two elective sports each week for cross conditioning and recreation. For a well-rounded Reform Jewish Camp experience, campers will also participate in traditional camp activities, while living among other Jewish athletes, learning sports and life skills from professional coaches and Jewish counselors.
