The YOUNG PERFORMERS STUDIO provides an opportunity for young actors, ages 11 to 18, to live, train, and audition in Los Angeles, the heart of the film and TV industry. This program is directed by Donnajeanne Goheen, a well-respected talent manager who has been featured in numerous publications and in two E! Network documentaries about kids in show business. Many former boot campers are successfully working in the TV-film industry today!

Williwaw has been creating unique adventures for young adults since 1999. Our expeditions are designed to provide a safe and meaningful wilderness experience that balance challenging adventure and exploration with fun. We spend time developing outdoor skills and focus on the group experience.
Wilderness travel, paddling and sailing are the core components to our expeditions, and students leave with a solid foundation of skills so that they can pursue and become competent in these activities in the future. Activities include backpacking, sea kayaking, whitewater rafting and kayaking, coastal sailing, community service and surfing.

Adamah Adventures
Wilderness Adventure - United States
Adamah Adventures is an outdoor adventure summer program for Jewish teens. We help our campers develop self-confidence, independence, and a sense of adventure while building a strong community focused on environmentalism and the joy of Jewish life. During the 18-day trek, campers work in small groups alongside highly trained staff members to experience both the thrill and the quiet; the whitewater and the campfire; in some of the most awe-inspiring places in the country.
Adamah Adventures now offers four treks to choose from. The first trek is to the lush landscape of the Blue Ridge Mountains (Georgia, Tennessee, and South Carolina). The second adventure visits the mountains and coast of North Carolina on the Peaks and Paddles Trek. The third trek to the Pacific Northwest features snow-capped mountain peaks and wild ocean beaches. Our fourth trek, Oregon Service, allows 10th-12th graders to make a difference while exploring the mountains and craters of Oregon. Gifted students ages 4-17 can participate in the renowned Summer Institute for the Gifted (SIG) program. Hosted at pretigious colleges and universities, SIG has an excellent well-rounded program for gifted students as it combines academics, social, cultural and recreational opportunities. Our programs provide students with academic challenges designed to fit their abilities and interests. It also provides them with the opportunity to engage with other students who have similar abilities and interests. Because of our small classes, low teacher-student ratio, and an assistant in every class, we are able to individualize the program for each student. Students live and learn on campus for three weeks, leaving with the confidence gained by an experience that is all their own.
Because of our small classes, low teacher-student ratio, and teaching assistants, SIG individualizes the program for each student. Student safety, security and health are our top priority as SIG programs are well staffed for careful supervision. Our more than 25 years of experience have made us the leading organization in the field.

Campers are typically grouped by age and gender, maximizing the program for each participant's needs and body type. In addition to recreational activities, campers meet with doctorate-level behavior coaches to make long-lasting changes in attitude and self esteem.

Personal and Group development can be expected during a week at camp where a safe environment is created for campers to learn and grow. Canoe Island French Camp

Summer fun with a French accent since 1969. Learn French while enjoying the fun of resident camp on a private island in the San Juan Islands. French is taught at all levels by French and American staff to campers, ages 9-16. Take part in fencing, archery, sailing, kayaking, photography, theater, art, marine biology, and French cuisine during 2- and 3-week sessions. Facilities include a swimming pool, game room, sports field and tennis court.
The French meals, including a 7-course Bon Voyage banquet, are not your average camp fare! With only 45 campers per session and a camper:staff ratio of 3:1, everyone gets individual attention. Airport pick up and drop off. Financial aid available. The whole family can share the fun for 4 days over Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends. This is a good way for youngsters to find out about camp in the milieu of their own family.

Less Technology - More Independence. Camp Nor'wester has provided memorable summers to 1000's of kids since 1935. Activities are considered traditional: arts and crafts, drama, archery, and ropes course, with lots of outdoor activities like sailing, kayaking, hiking and overnight camping trips. Living is cooperative - everyone helps with daily living needs like cleaning latrine and shower houses; clearing trails; gathering wood for shower house boilers, repairing fire circles, and serving food at meal times. We get outside, live with simple comforts, and do things that require personal effort.
Leaving the distractions of technology, media and commerce behind, campers discover new interests and friendships through simple, self- powered pleasures. Change takes time. Our four-week program allows campers to step out on their own, away from preconceived images or expectations held by family and school communities. They will encounter challenging experiences in a supportive, group living environment. They will learn to build relationships, share adventures and take on responsibilities.
Kids don't have to be the smartest, fastest, tallest or coolest to come to Nor'wester. They just have to be willing to leave the cushy life behind, unplug for a while, and try something out of the ordinary.
