Cheley Colorado CampsCheley Colorado Camps own 1300 spectacular high-country acres surrounded by snow-capped peaks that soar to 14,000 feet. The historic campus, 75 miles northwest of Denver, borders Rocky Mountain National Park and the Roosevelt National Forest. Cheley Camps provides 9 to 17 year-olds the summer of their lives.
Activities include hiking, backpacking, horseback riding, outcamping, rock climbing, mountain biking, crafts, and sports and white water rafting .
City Kids Wilderness ProjectCity Kids Wilderness Project operates a nonprofit residential summer camp located in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. CityKids Camp is a unique program, serving children ages 11-16 from Washington, D.C. The camp is located on a beautiful ranch and our program is limited to 30 campers per session. Staff to camper ratio 1:4.
The Presbytery of Wyoming runs two camps: Camp Story on the eastern foothills of the Bighorn mountains, and Skyline camp, in the foothills of the Snowy Range. The camps offer children the opportunity to grow in their faith by experiencing God's love in a relational, playful setting. The camps are open to any child, regardless of religious affiliation.
Colvig Silver CampsCSC is a coed, residential summer camp located in the beautiful San Juan mountains near Durango, CO. We offer a strong mix of traditional camp programs and wilderness trips. Our camp's philosophy is environmentally oriented and non-competitive and its choice based format is designed to develop self esteem, leadership skills, responsibility, and teamwork. Second Nature-EntradaSecond Nature-Entrada is a year-round licensed therapeutic wilderness program. Our program guides adults and adolescents toward a healthy, fullfilling lifestyle. Entrada focuses on teaching clients how to communicate assertively and be accountable for their choices.
Crow Canyon Teen Archaeology Summer Camps & Field SchoolExplore the exciting field of archaeology in the middle of the richest archaeological region in the United States while contributing to our research into Ancestral Pueblo (Anasazi) culture. Our one and three-week camps offer teens the chance to explore the full realm of archaeology from developing a research design, to excavating in the field with professional archaeologists, analyzing artifacts, and recording data in the laboratory.
At our pithouse and pueblo learning centers, girls and boys can try their hand at spear-throwing with an atlatl, making fire without matches, making pottery, and playing traditional American Indian games. Friendships made at this camp can last a lifetime!
SOAR, Inc.For over 30 years, SOAR has provided multi-length, adventure programs for youth diagnosed with ADHD and/or learning disabilities. Recognizing the outdoors provides an ideal classroom where relevant learning can occur and life skills can be taught, emphasis is placed on developing self-confidence, social skills, and problem solving techniques. Courses are co-ed, and are developed for youth ages 8 - 18 with average or above average intelligence and physical aptitude. Staff to student ratio is low, and instructors are hired for qualities of maturity and caring, enabling them to relate to students and enhance their adventure experience.
Activities vary by location and range from snorkeling and kayaking in the Florida Keys; backpacking, and whitewater rafting in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina; surfing and sea kayaking along the California Coast; and horsepacking and fishing in the Wind River Mountains of Wyoming and much more. Specialty courses include a trip to the rainforests of Costa Rica, learning to whitewater kayak and even participating in a western rodeo! New programs incude a Northern California Expedition and a traditional camp model in sunny Florida.
Outward BoundOutward Bound, a national nonprofit organization, offers over 500 adventure-based courses - year round - serving adults, teens and youth (ages 12+).
Course activities include rock climbing, sea kayaking, backpacking, mountaineering, sailing, dogsledding, canoeing and rafting in some of the most untouched wilderness areas across the nation. No matter the activity, courses focus on learning through experience, compassion, leadership and responsibility to both team and the environment. Courses range in length from 4 days to three months in length. Scholarships are available.

At Power Chord Academy, dedicated musicians ages 12-18 are put through the most inspirational, educational, and intensive programs of their young careers. Summer Study Programs is the "Total Pre-Collegiate Experience" at Penn State University, the University of Colorado at Boulder, the University of Vermont, or Summer Study in Paris at The Sorbonne. 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 weeks - early July to mid August.
Summer Study Programs focuses on Pre-College, Academic Enrichment and Outdoor Adventure. Activities include: College Credit and Enrichment Classes, SAT Prep, Sports, Recreation, exciting Nightlife and weekend travel adventures.
For more than 85 years, young people from the Inland Northwest have been enjoying wonderful outdoor experiences at Camp Sweyolakan. As one of the oldest resident camps in the country, Sweyolakan has been a summer haven for generations of young people.
