Red Oak, Red Barn and Chincapin CampsRed Oak, Red Barn and Chincapin Camps excel locally with their ability to offer a wide variety of exciting age-appropriate opportunities for boys and girls. All campers develop self-reliance and leadership skills, while investigating nature, and building new friendships. The camp boasts a newly completed climbing tower and zip line for developing advanced climbing skills, in addition to their challenging ropes course.
Campers enjoy traditional camp activities, including archery, backpacking, canoeing, climbing, tennis, swimming, as well as the opportunity to develop interests in science and camp crafts under the guidance of our experienced staff. Chincapin campers enjoy advancing through their horseback riding program.
St. Francis Camp is a 19 acre specialty camp for cognitively impaired children and adults. We encourage our campers' use of daily living skills while at camp, and we also follow any special behavior or social plan they may have in place. Most daily activities at St. Francis Camp are camper led and cover one or more of these developmental skill areas: fine motor; gross motor, socialization; and, sensory integration. Examples of these activities are: swimming; boating; fishing; canoeing; paddle boating (all of these are supervised by certified waterfront staff); basketball; volleyball; ice cream socials; hiking; dances; sing-a-longs; arts and crafts; nature study; . . . all the usual summer camp fun plus much, much more!

Camp BuckskinCamp Buckskin is an overnight summer camp that specializes in serving boys and girls ages 6-18 who have academic and/or social skill needs. More specifically, the majority of our campers have AD/HD, Learning Disabilities, Aspergers or similar needs. They have a world of potential in many areas that has yet to be developed. They simply need extra support to convert their potentials into abilities.
Camp Buckskin provides a mix of traditional camp and some academic activities each day, in addition to a Personal Growth program which addresses social skill development. In this program we work to help our campers learn to build and maintain positive peer relations, to become more self reliant, and to develop better problem solving/coping skills.
As a result of this growth, our campers return home with greater self confidence and a strengthened self concept.

Military Adventure CampThe U.S. Army Cadet Corps' Military Adventure Camp is - by far - the most realistic and challenging military training program available to a teenager who is interested in our country's Armed Forces.
Basic Cadet Training (BCT). This two-week adventure is often known as "Boot Camp." Basic Cadet Training is physically and mentally demanding, with heavy emphasis on personal accountability and teamwork. Each Cadet Recruit is assigned to a platoon of 18-25 Recruits lead by a Cadet Troop Handler and trained by a qualified Drill Sergeant.
Basic Leader Course (BLC) An intense three-week program for graduates of Recruit Training or CTC. BLC provides advanced orientation in basic leadership, troop leading procedures, risk assessment, land navigation and field training, marksmanship, self-defense and team-building activities.
The Army Cadet Martial Arts Program (TACMAP) A one-week advanced martial arts training program based on rigid military standards, plus high-adventure recreational activities. TACMAP utilizes MCJKKD as its main training format, which includes a combination of Self Defense, Judo, Aikido, Jujitsu, Karate, Boxing and Wrestling.
Ultimate Military Adventure (UMA) Six weeks of basic training, advanced training, practical leadership and career exploration experience, as well as a one-week recreational program focusing on military martial arts.

Phantom Lake YMCA CampPhantom Lake YMCA Camp, established in 1896, provides youth ages 7-17 traditional summer camp experiences in a Resident and Day Camp setting. Camp Helen BrachmanSince 1906, the COA Youth and Family Center has provided summer camping programs for children. Today we continue this strong tradition with the special experiences we offer to campers at Camp Helen Brachman. 11 days of learning and fun for girls and boys ages 8 through 13. Also offers Teen Explorer Program designed to meet the needs of more experienced, veteran campers (ages 14 and 15).

Campers make new friends, and are often introduced to sports or hobbies they develop further at home or at school. Their self confidence grows and their attitudes improve. Speech/language services are available at Camp Courage for campers on the active caseload of a school Speech/Language Pathologist.
EAA Air Academy Aviation CampsThe EAA Air Academy is a unique aviation summer camp for young people ages 12-18. Each participant depending on their age will spend between 5 and 9 days at the EAA Air Academy Lodge. The program uses top-notch aviation instructors with over 200 years of combined experience that will provide the best experience possible for each participant. They will experience many hands-on activities, i.e. wing rib building, composite and fiberglass construction, weight and balance, rockets, sheet metal, welding, flight simulation, challenge ropes course and many other exciting activities.
Each session includes a flight with a CFI (Certified Flight Instructor) in a real airplane where campers, after take-off, take control of the aircraft and learn the various attitudes and wonders of the aircraft and where their flight time can be log in their own personal logbook. The camps provide a wonderful introduction to aviation and an experience that will last a lifetime. All fees include room and board, programs and flight.

What makes Camp Frederick unique and a powerful personal growth experience for both staff and campers is our heavy emphasis on building an intentional Christian community. Each summer we hire 12 spiritually mature and energetic people to grow together as a deep spiritual community.
Although we do many different programs, our specialty is servant event and adventure programs in which high school youth from around the country come to experience service in Appalachia and have fun on adventure elements such as our high and low ropes course, rappelling, zip-line, caving, whitewater rafting and horseback riding. In addition to the high school programs, we have traditional programs for K-8 youth which make up approximately half of all our events. North Woods Wilderness AdventuresThe Audubon Center of the North Woods, an NCA-accredited residential environmental learning center, is a leader in offering meaningful nature experiences to people of all ages. Through our North Woods Wilderness Adventures, we provide a different kind of summer camp experience - an opportunity to engage teens in nature through a variety of outdoor activities and challenges that promote environmental awareness, compassion, teamwork and an ethic of care for the earth.
Our wilderness adventures start at our center on 535 acres on the east side of Grindstone Lake in east central Minnesota, where campers prepare for their trip by reviewing canoeing and camping skills. Our naturalist staff is highly trained, caring, engaging, knowledgeable, first-aid and CPR-certified.
This summer we are offering four wilderness canoe treks that teach teens new wilderness skills and test their limits while building strength and leadership. See our website for dates and trip details. First night is spent camping at Audubon Center of the North Woods for preparation.

Beechpoint Christian CampCamp Beechpoint is located North on Allegan, Michigan, on Dumont Lake. Our programs are for children ages 8-14 and include both day camps and resident camps. The majority of our campers come from urban Chicago, Detroit, and other low income areas across West Michigan. Our sessions tend to be high energy, very interpersonal, and extremely diverse! Camp Menogyn is located on Bearskin Lake near Grand Marais, MN. Menogyn offers Teen Wilderness Adventures such as canoeing, backpacking and rock climbing trips in the Boundary Waters and across North America. We provide safe, fun and enriching wilderness adventures from 8-50 days long, supported by highly-trained trail counselors and staff.
Falcon CampSmall and private, Falcon offers a wide variety of activities, excellent staff and great fun. Program is separate for boys and girls with planned coed events. Falcon Camp accepts boys and girls ages 6 to 16 and groups them appropriately by age. Campers may register for two, four, six, or eight weeks. Wolf Ridge Environmental Learning CenterWolf Ridge is an accredited residential environmental school by the North Central Association and the Commission on International and Trans-Regional Accreditation. Van Buren Youth Camp has been building leaders for over five decades.
