Summer Institute for the Gifted
Coed Camps with Residential & Day Camp Sessions
Gifted students in grades K-12 can participate in the renowned Summer Institute for the Gifted (SIG) program. Hosted at some of the most famous colleges and universities in the country such as Princeton University, Dartmouth College and UC Berkeley, SIG has the best well-rounded program for gifted students as it combines academics, social, cultural and recreational opportunities. Students live and learn on campus for three-weeks, leaving with the additional confidence gained by an experience that is all their own.
Because of our small classes, low teacher-student ratio, and teaching assistants, SIG is able to individualize the program for each and every student. Student safety, security and health are our top priority as SIG programs are well staffed for careful supervision. Ten day programs are available for younger students and most of our residential programs have a commuter option. Our more than 25 years of experience have made us the leading organization in the field.

Camp Northwood
Residential coed summer camp
Camp Northwood is oriented toward children with low self-esteem, immature social skill development, learning challenges and Asperger's Syndrome in need of a structured and supportive summer experience. Northwood's program focuses on the development of independence, social skills and self-image.
Campers participate in a non-competitive, socially oriented, "main-streamed" styled program. A 2:1 camper/counselor ratio provides a level of individualization at activities and in the cabin setting insuring success. In addition to traditional camp activities, campers participate in an individually designed academic program intended to help maintain current skill levels throughout the summer.
Northwood campers are exposed to a variety of social experiences designed to foster age-appropriate social skill development. Group social skill sessions and constant reinforcement within the cabin setting cultivate growth in each camper's ability to work as part of a team, interpret social situations and feel a sense of inclusion in our camp community.

Gwynn Valley Camp

Since 1935, a summer camp for Boys and Girls, ages 5-14 which offers a farm, wilderness and traditional program that nurtures the child while fostering a connection with the land and the simple joys of childhood. The strength of Gwynn Valley is its nurturing environment in a child centered world where each camper will learn and grow under the guideance of a mature and caring staff. We are committed to each individual becoming a vital part of the community. Simplicity, acceptance, a non-competitive program, and an appreciation of the natural world are our core values. We maintain a camper/staff ratio of 3:1. Our residential camp offers sessions of 1, 2, and 3 weeks in length. We grow 70% of our food on our farm and operate an 1890's Grist Mill as an extension of that program. We also have a small Day Camp for children K-4th grade.

NorthBay's mission is to teach young people that their actions and attitudes have a lasting impact on their future, the environment and the people around them. During the day, campers receive instruction on three skills. Those skills include Arts and Crafts, Archery, Dance, Drama, Cooking, Extreme Science, Filmmaking, Land Sports, Mountain Biking, Mountaineering, Paddling, Pioneering, Rock climbing, Sailing, Swimming, Wilderness Living and Waterskiing/Wakeboarding.
After skill sessions are done, campers reconnect with their cabin mates and participate in an adventure activity. Adventure activities include our 80 foot high ropes course, water/land zip lines, indoor and outdoor climbing walls and giant swing.
After dinner, when most camps are winding things down, we crank things up a notch with NorthBay Live. In NorthBay Live, campers will sing and dance to our very own live band, True North. They also participate in skits and hear an inspirational character building message from a member of our staff. Other evening activities include the obstacle course, pool parties, entertainment night, hoe-down, county fair and all camp dance.
All NorthBay cabins are air-conditioned, have their own restrooms and provide linens, a pillow, and towel. Meals are prepared fresh daily by our five, culinary institute trained chefs.

Coed residential campA Christ-centered, coed, residential camping program, Camp Hanover registers rising 2nd-12th graders for 2-day to 2-week traditional, mission, high adventure, and specialty camps. Campers are welcomed into a small group of 8-12 youth and 2 counselors. Each is encouraged to make new friends, face new challenges, be themselves, make positive contributions in Christian community, serve others, explore their faith, and laugh lots.

Traditional camp program for Juniors and Teens offers more than 40 activities for campers to individually choose from to create a fun-packed summer.
Mix and match one-week sessions with Challenge Adventure Trips for teens or add a half-day Sports Clinic in Tennis, Golf, Gymnastics, Waterskiing, or Soccer instructed by professional instructors. Randolph-Macon Academy Summer Programs
Coed Camp with Day and Residential Sessions
Randolph-Macon Academy's Middle School Enrichment Camp offers students in grades 6-8 the opportunity to take fun enrichment classes in the areas of science, writing, reading, math, technology, study skills, and history. Students are in class four mornings each week, and spend the afternoons engaged in swimming, sports, community service, nature/conservation activities, and more. Wednesdays are spent at area attractions and museums. Weekends include trips to amusement parks and museums, Jamestown, whitewater rafting, and swimming.
Additional programs: For students in grades 6-12, there is an English as a Second Language (ESL) course, which is an immersion course that features classroom learning, computer-oriented training, and field trips. For high school students in grades 9-12, R-MA offers classes for new and repeat credit, including most core courses, Spanish, and several electives. Flight Camp for students ages 16 to 18, which features ground school and flying time in a Cessna.
Bluestone Summer Camp

Bluestone offers four one week camping sessions in June and July. Our Resident Program will accomodate youth entering 3rd through 10th Grade, and our Trip Camps are for high school youth entering 10th through 12th Grades.
Our Summer Camping Program is based on a small group philosophy, which consists of one female and one male counselor to a group of around 10-12 kids. A week at Bluestone will provide campers with excellent opportunities for spiritual and personal growth, for meeting new friends, learning new skills, and challenging themselves.
In addition to daily arts and crafts, swim time and song time, Resident Campers have a daily bible study based on the theme of the summer. Hikes, creek walks, canoeing, sleeping out under the stars, nightly vespers, cookouts and s'mores are just some of the many other things to look forward to at Bluestone! Trip Campers can look forward as well to whitewater canoeing and rafting experiences, as well as other adventure activities depending upon which week they attend.
6 Points Sports Academy

6 Points Sports Academy is a Jewish Sports Specialty Camp. Located in beautiful Greensboro, NC, 6 Points Sports Academy is housed on the 100 acre, state-of-the-art, athletic and camp facilities of the American Hebrew Academy. At 6 Points, young Jewish athletes participate in a unique camping experience that offers top-level sports training and all the beloved traditions of Reform Jewish camping.
6 Points campers are recreational and competitive athletes, age from 9-16, who are looking to improve their game, meet new friends while exploring their own Jewish identity through sports. During our two weeks sessions, campers will participate in intensive sports training in one of the following sports: boys and girls basketball, soccer and tennis; girl's lacrosse and boy's baseball; campers also select two elective sports each week for cross conditioning and recreation. For a well-rounded Reform Jewish Camp experience, campers will also participate in traditional camp activities, while living among other Jewish athletes, learning sports and life skills from professional coaches and Jewish counselors. The campers develop this through direct interactions with nature and the staff, through learning scientific information, and through gaining experiences as part of a community.
Burgundy Center for Wildlife Studies is located in Cooper's Cove, a secluded 500 acre sanctuary in the Appalachian Mountains. It is west of Capon Bridge, West Virginia. This beautiful remote valley is a 2-1/2 hour drive from Washington D.C.

When you sign up for our traditional sleepaway camp, you get to make your own schedule and choose the activities you like most! Our great activities include windsurfing/sailing, archery, arts & crafts, canoeing, rock climbing, dance, drama, in-line skating, kayaking, riflery, high and low-ropes courses, snorkeling, street hockey, swimming, voice, guitar, and of course tons of other sports options. Camp Wabanna

A non-denominational Christian camp located on the Chesapeake Bay. Both overnight and day camp programs are offered for ages 4-15. A "Leader in Training" program is available for teens ages 14-18. DMA is ideal for students of all ages wanting exposure to the most relevant software used in Hollywood and the entertainment industry, video game design, and web design while gaining hands-on experience under the eye of accomplished professionals. Whether to explore and area of interest, gain practical skills for the future or just have an incredible time with friends, DMA is unparalleled.
DMA offers day and overnight courses in the US and Canada in weekly and multi-week sessions for youth, age 6-18. DMA courses accommodate a wide variety of digital media interests in a more sophisticated learning environment than other summer computer camps. All courses are project based and taught by industry professionals and classroom teachers who have a passion for inspiring young minds. An average student to instructor ratio of 6 to 1 allows for plenty of individual attention as students explore, create and immerse themselves in an environment that is more like a production studio than a classroom.

Outward Bound, a national nonprofit organization, offers over 500 adventure-based courses - year round - serving adults, teens and youth (ages 12+).

Join us for an Adventure Camp experience like no other! Cheerio Adventures specializes in camp sessions from 3 days up to 14 days of unforgettable adventures. We are a Christian based adventure camp located in the mountains of SW Virginia along the New River. The camp is for boys and girls ages 10-17. All groups consist of 8-12 participants, to maximize the adventure experience and promote strong and long lasting friendships. Our focus on helping young people learn more about themselves, strengthen self-confidence, leadership, teamwork skills, is accomplished while challenging them in a safe and fun Christian setting. Camp Piankatank is a Christian camp for boys and girls located on the beautiful Piankatank River, on the coast of Virginia. We offer overnight adventure camps where campers experience a variety of activities and also overnight specialty camps focusing on sailing, canoeing/kayaking, sports or horseback riding. Camps offered are for ages 7-17.
In all of our activities we teach Biblical principles and campers attend worship services twice daily.

Summer Institute for the Gifted
Coed Camps with Residential & Day Camp Sessions
Gifted students in grades K-12 can participate in the renowned Summer Institute for the Gifted (SIG) program. Hosted at some of the most famous colleges and universities in the country such as Princeton University, Dartmouth College and UC Berkeley, SIG has the best well-rounded program for gifted students as it combines academics, social, cultural and recreational opportunities. Students live and learn on campus for three-weeks, leaving with the additional confidence gained by an experience that is all their own.
Because of our small classes, low teacher-student ratio, and teaching assistants, SIG is able to individualize the program for each and every student. Student safety, security and health are our top priority as SIG programs are well staffed for careful supervision. Ten day programs are available for younger students and most of our residential programs have a commuter option. Our more than 25 years of experience have made us the leading organization in the field.
