Makemie Woods specializes in FUN, while developing self-esteem, a sense of community and belonging and fostering growth in Christ. We offer a wide variety of overnight options and specialty programs for children who have finished kindergarten, through Senior High.
All campers discover the joy of campfires, boating, swimming, crafts, and becoming more connected to nature with relevant Worship and Bible Study. Outward Bound, a national nonprofit organization, offers over 500 adventure-based courses - year round - serving adults, teens and youth (ages 12+).

When you sign up for our traditional sleepaway camp, you get to make your own schedule and choose the activities you like most! Gifted students in grades K-12 can participate in the renowned Summer Institute for the Gifted (SIG) program. Hosted at some of the most famous colleges and universities in the country such as Princeton University, Dartmouth College and UC Berkeley, SIG has the best well-rounded program for gifted students as it combines academics, social, cultural and recreational opportunities. Students live and learn on campus for three-weeks, leaving with the additional confidence gained by an experience that is all their own.
Because of our small classes, low teacher-student ratio, and teaching assistants, SIG is able to individualize the program for each and every student. Student safety, security and health are our top priority as SIG programs are well staffed for careful supervision. Ten day programs are available for younger students and most of our residential programs have a commuter option. Our more than 25 years of experience have made us the leading organization in the field.

FOR THE YOUNG PERSON WHO LOVES HORSES AND RIDING! Ride all day, experience different horses, and different riding styles: Hunters, jumpers, western, dressage and even Walking Horses. We teach balanced seat, European style riding which is the basis for western, hunt and dressage. Understand the mechanics of horse movement and the principals of horse thought. Learn training techniques with personalized instruction, and concentrate on improving your skills. Our philosophy encourages exploration of a wide range of horse experience and understanding of how the different schools of training fit together. Each camper will ride two- four different horses a day, depending on their skill level and interest. Bring your own horse if you have one and learn how to get the best out of him. Small numbers and individualized instruction makes each camper's experience unique. Memories by the minute!

NorthBay
Residential coed summer camp
NorthBay's mission is to teach young people that their actions and attitudes have a lasting impact on their future, the environment and the people around them. During the day, campers receive instruction on three skills. Those skills include Arts and Crafts, Archery, Dance, Drama, Cooking, Extreme Science, Filmmaking, Land Sports, Mountain Biking, Mountaineering, Paddling, Pioneering, Rock climbing, Sailing, Swimming, Wilderness Living and Waterskiing/Wakeboarding.
After skill sessions are done, campers reconnect with their cabin mates and participate in an adventure activity. Adventure activities include our 80 foot high ropes course, water/land zip lines, indoor and outdoor climbing walls and giant swing.
After dinner, when most camps are winding things down, we crank things up a notch with NorthBay Live. In NorthBay Live, campers will sing and dance to our very own live band, True North. They also participate in skits and hear an inspirational character building message from a member of our staff. Other evening activities include the obstacle course, pool parties, entertainment night, hoe-down, county fair and all camp dance.
All NorthBay cabins are air-conditioned, have their own restrooms and provide linens, a pillow, and towel. Meals are prepared fresh daily by our five, culinary institute trained chefs.
Camp Roanoke

Nestled within 700 acres of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, Camp Roanoke is conveniently located just off Interstate 81 exit 132. Since 1925, our campers have enjoyed outdoor adventures such as canoeing, field games, hiking, campfires and a challenge course complete with a 44-foot climbing tower. Older campers will enjoy off-site excursions like rock climbing and caving. Younger campers can stay for just the day with free satellite transportation.
Our affordable tuition includes lodging, meals, and everything needed for a week of outdoor adventure and fun. Camp Roanoke offers a full season of residential summer camps for youth that will create memories to last a lifetime ... all in an environment that is accredited by the American Camping Association.
Camp Lee Mar
Residential coed special needs campLocated in the beautiful Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania, Camp Lee Mar is a private residential special needs camp for children and teenagers with mild to moderate learning and developmental challenges. A structured environment, individual attention and guidance are emphasized at all times. Campers enjoy traditional camp activities PLUS academics, speech and language therapy, music and art therapy, daily living skills, sensory-motor-perceptual training, and computers. We also have therapeutic horseback riding, a Zip Line and overnight trips. In addition, we have a brand New Junior Olympic heated pool, modern facilities and air-conditioned buildings (including cabins).

A non-denominational Christian camp located on the Chesapeake Bay. Both overnight and day camp programs are offered for ages 4-15. A "Leader in Training" program is available for teens ages 14-18. Wabanna's summer programs provide a fun-filled, action-packed, and spiritually focused experience. Coed Camp with Residential & Day Camp SessionsCamp Arrowhead is open to all children regardless of religion, race or origin, who wish to have a fun filled experience in the loving environment of God's beauty. Camp is located on Delaware's Rehoboth Bay on a beautiful 167 acre wooded tract.
Camp activities are scheduled into morning, afternoon and evening blocks. Each group's schedule will vary, according to their choice of activities. Daily activities such as meals, siesta, chapel, Christian Education, free time, swim lessons, store visits and free swim are woven into the block scheduled activities.

Coed Camp with Residential & Day Camp SessionsFive weeks of riding camp with a program that is tailored to interweave daily activities into the rural lifestyle of the ranch. Three campers per counselor and limited enrollment allow campers more individual attention in a safe, relaxed family-type atmosphere.
Activities include: horse care and preparation; riding lessons; and leisure sports, such as archery, fishing, swimming, hiking, line dancing, vaulting, volleyball and games.

Makemie Woods specializes in FUN, while developing self-esteem, a sense of community and belonging and fostering growth in Christ. We offer a wide variety of overnight options and specialty programs for children who have finished kindergarten, through Senior High.
All campers discover the joy of campfires, boating, swimming, crafts, and becoming more connected to nature with relevant Worship and Bible Study. For older campers add in archery, ziplines, drama camps and off-site adventure trips, including Whitewater rafting, sailing, and a high challenge course.
Financial assistance is available. Makemie Woods is a ministry of the Presbyterian Church (USA), welcoming all children.
