Immerse in the world of visual arts at this summer camp! For two weeks, ages 13-18 foster their creativity through either filmmaking, photography or web design. Teens choose from one of three courses: Film Production with Final Cut Studio, Professional Photography and Professional Web Design. Students will use industry-standard products like Photoshop, Lightroom, After Effects, Final Cut Pro 7, DSLR cameras, Flash, Dreamweaver and Wacom Pen Tablets. Graduates leave with a portfolio and the tools to excel in the rapidly changing field of visual arts. Participate on fun, supervised excursions and visit nearby studios to see how the pros work.
Please note that there are other film, photography and web design courses offered at iD Tech Camps. This summer technology program for ages 7-17 is North America's favorite tech camp, and located at over 60 prestigious universities in the U.S and Canada.

Our wilderness canoe trips take us through some of the most beautiful country in the world. Northwaters offers a unique blend of adventure and personal growth in a highly supportive environment. While the experience is challenging, it is not about conquering rivers or mountains, but about learning from the land in a spirit that honors balance, trust and respect. Residential coed summer campHundreds of children from NB, PEI and NS travel to Thorburn, NS where they bunk in cabins on the banks of the Sutherland's River. In addition to Salvation Army-run camps, Scotian Glen hosts camps for the Nova Scotia Cancer Society, Nova Scotia Firefighters Burn Treatment Society, and the Nova Scotia Hemophiliac Society.
Activities such as canoeing, swimming, hiking, archery, horseshoes, volleyball, soccer, baseball and basketball fill the days. Days end by the campfire with a sing-a-long and marshmallow roast. Scotian Glen makes memories for kids that last a lifetime in a safe and caring environment.
-Oak Acres Children's Camp
Residential coed summer campOak Acres Children's Camp is a not-for-profit summer camp for children aged 7-12. The children are not charged a fee for attending. Our staff consists of a combination of paid, trained counselors and volunteers.
The campers at Oak Acres have the opportunity to participate in many activities including horseback riding, archery, orienteering and hiking, arts and crafts, swimming, canoeing, and low ropes initiatives. The campers are placed into gender based cabin groups of 5-8 children. Each group has a counselor who is directly responsible for the care of the children during their stay.
