A Summer of Fun with Nature!! We focus on hands-on nature education combined with traditional camp activities. Camp Kingfisher's strength is its welcoming environment where campers have a blast and their mature staff care for each camper. Our goal is for your camper to have fun in the outdoors and discover fascinating connections in nature. Activities include: canoeing, swimming, arts and crafts, nature hikes, science exploration activities, and live animal encounters. Older campers love our high school travel and leadership programs too. 1 & 2 week sessions in June, July & August; ages 5 & up. Camp is also offered during school vacations.

Residential coed surfing camp
We specialize in marine science and ocean safety based surfing adventures for ages 11-17. Campers learn how to surf in any one of our awesome locations including Wrightsville Beach, NC; the Outer Banks, NC; Hawaii; California; Costa Rica; and Barbados. Some programs include earning your PADI Open Water Certification. Surf and explore various parts of the coast while learning about amazing marine ecosystems. Gain self confidence and have an adventure that will change your life forever! No experience is required as we cater to beginners and provide an industry leading student to instructor ratio of 3:1.

Camp of the Rising Son

For over 30 years, Camp of the Rising Son has provided a Christ-centered residential summer camp to reach out to youths through focus on building relationships, experiencing creation, encouraging creativity, and having fun. Campers ages 7-12 can experience a week of traditional summer camp jam-packed with excitement. Teens choose among a variety of adventures ranging from Rafting for ages 13-16, Horse Camp for ages 13-17, and Astronomy Camp for ages 13-16 to the Camp Intern Adventure for ages 15-17

Seacamp
Residential Coed Camp
Since 1966, Seacamp is the first program dedicated to the education of youth in marine sciences.
Seacamp's location in the Florida Keys allows for a truly unique marine science program, providing an array of activities under the guidance of academically-trained instructors. Students work at their own level of interest, choosing from 24 different areas of study.
Seacamp's SCUBA diving program is open to qualified campers. Courses are designed to give the diver training in SCUBA techniques enabling them to use SCUBA as a tool for underwater research. Satisfactory completion of Basic or Master Diver certification course earns certification through NAUI. Already certified campers choose from our combined marine science/SCUBA courses.
Seacamp aquatics programs include sailing and windsurfing. US Sail certification is offered to beginners in sailing. Seacamp offers the American Red Cross course in lifeguarding.
North Carolina Outward Bound School
Wilderness adventure programThe oldest, largest and most recognized wilderness education organization in the world. Our classrooms are set in the wilderness and are designed for building technical outdoor skill, developing leadership and teamwork. Expeditions run year-round in North Carolina, Florida, and internationally. For over 40 years North Carolina Outward Bound has been a powerful way to reconnect with your inner strengths and potential.
Course activities include rock climbing, sea kayaking, backpacking, mountaineering, and canoeing in some of the most untouched wilderness areas across the southeast. No matter the activity, courses focus on learning through experience, compassion, leadership and responsibility to both team and the environment. Courses range in length from 4 days to three months in length. Scholarships are available.

SeaWorld Camp students going into 5-12th grade interact with remarkable creatures from oceans all over the globe. It's their chance to go behind the scenes, interact with a variety of animals and work with our animal experts.
Whether sleeping next to a beluga whale, touching a penguins, swimming with dolphins or riding Manta, campers make friends and memories to last a lifetime. Day Camps also available for Preschool to eighth grade.
Camp High Rocks

Camp High Rocks is a small camp for boys in the mountains of Western North Carolina. High Rocks is a place for fun and learning, for challenge and adventure, and for living in an environment that is geared to a camper's needs and interests.
Aided by a well-trained staff we seek to teach and inspire lasting skills and values. We offer ongoing opportunities for success, a freedom from inhibiting competitive pressure, and an environment that promotes increased self-esteem and a close sense of community. High Rocks offers the opportunity to grow with one, two, three and four week sessions, each with a higher skill and trip progression.
Activities include: rock climbing, canoeing, kayaking, horseback riding, mountain biking, hiking, arts & crafts, fishing and many more traditional camp activities. Our 1,000 acre facility adjoins a 10,000 acre state forest and Pisgah National Forest.
Cheerio Adventures

Join us for an Adventure Camp experience like no other! Cheerio Adventures specializes in camp sessions from 3 days up to 14 days of unforgettable adventures. We are a Christian based adventure camp located in the mountains of SW Virginia along the New River. The camp is for boys and girls ages 10-17. All groups consist of 8-12 participants, to maximize the adventure experience and promote strong and long lasting friendships. Our focus on helping young people learn more about themselves, strengthen self-confidence, leadership, teamwork skills, is accomplished while challenging them in a safe and fun Christian setting. All equipment is provided.
Trips take place in NC, TN, VA and WV. Activities include rock climbing, canoeing, kayaking, whitewater rafting, backpacking, caving, mountain biking, sailing, wind surfing and more.
MindStretch Travel Adventures
Boys' Adventure Travel Program
MindStretch Travel Adventures offers adventure travel programs for boys ages 9 and older. Boys participate in camp-type activities during the day such as hiking, exploring, geocaching, rafting, canoeing, horseback riding, and mountain biking. And they also get to spend time just being tourists in some of the greatest scenic areas in the United States and abroad.
Trips vary in length from 7 to 21 days depending on year and destination. In the evening boys stay in motels (most with pools) and enjoy a dinner in a sit-down restaurant. Destinations include: Wyoming, Montana, Colorado, New England, North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Canada, and more. Every two or three years MindStretch Travel Adventures offers a unique opportunity to travel through Europe by Eurail. Boys pick and choose where they want to visit and get there by Europe's fantastic train system.
Camp Caraway
Residential boys' summer camp
Camp Caraway is a camp for boys, sponsored by the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina. Boys do not need to be Baptist to attend. We also have a Christian backpacking program called Christian High Adventure, featuring male-only and coed trips.
Our camp is located in the beautiful Uwharrie Mountains, seven miles west of Asheboro, North Carolina. Since 1963 more than 50,000 boys have been challenged toward strengthening their Christian walk at Caraway.
SOAR, Inc.
Wilderness adventure program
SOAR has provided multi-length, high adventure programs for youth diagnosed with ADHD and/or learning disabilities for over 35 years. Recognizing that the outdoors provides an ideal classroom where relevant learning can occur and life skills can be taught, emphasis is placed on developing self-confidence, social skills, and problem solving techniques. Course are co-ed, and are dveloped for youth ages 8-25 with average to above average intelligence and physical ability. Staff to student ratio is low, and instructors are hired for qualities of maturity, caring and passion for working with our population in the outdoor setting.
Activities vary by location and range from snorkeling and fishing in the Florida keys; backpacking and rafting in the Blue Ridge mountains of NC; surfing and sea kayaking in California; horsepacking and fishing in the Wind River Mountains of Wyoming; to canoeing and rock climbing in the Adirondack mountains of New York. Specialty courses include a trip tropical Belize, learning to whitewater kayak in North Carolina, earning SCUBA certifications in Florida, and even participating in a Wyoming Rodeo! Our Postgraduate program serves young adults ages 18-25.

Adamah Adventures
Wilderness Adventure - United States
Adamah Adventures is an outdoor adventure summer program for Jewish teens. We help our campers develop self-confidence, independence, and a sense of adventure while building a strong community focused on environmentalism and the joy of Jewish life. During the 18-day trek, campers work in small groups alongside highly trained staff members to experience both the thrill and the quiet; the whitewater and the campfire; in some of the most awe-inspiring places in the country.
Adamah Adventures now offers four treks to choose from. The first trek is to the lush landscape of the Blue Ridge Mountains (Georgia, Tennessee, and South Carolina). The second adventure visits the mountains and coast of North Carolina on the Peaks and Paddles Trek. The third trek to the Pacific Northwest features snow-capped mountain peaks and wild ocean beaches. Our fourth trek, Oregon Service, allows 10th-12th graders to make a difference while exploring the mountains and craters of Oregon. Fox Mountain Guides and Climbing School
Wilderness adventure programOur Rock Climbing Camps offer extremely small group "pro camps" for 13-17 year olds who wish to take their climbing to the next level. Our climbing camps are 6-12 days long. We are located in Pisgah National Forest and we are the Southeast's only AMGA Accredited Summer Camp Climbing Program.
Our Camp's curriculum includes: equipment, techniques and most importantly safety skills of climbing. We trad climb single and multipitch, boulder and aid climb! We are deeply rooted in Leave No Trace, ethics of climbing and the wilderness so we cover these skills as a core component of the camp.
