Camp High Rocks, a private boys' camp in Western North Carolina, has openings for male and female counselors for its nine-week summer program. We have three sessions, each with 130 campers ages 8 to 16. The primary function and obligation of a male counselor is to campers in his cabin group. Applicants for counselor positions must have completed at least one year of college. Photographer position available - daily responsibilities would include taking pictures of campers during activities, formatting photos to be uploaded on our website, as well as instructing in one of our daily program activities. Located in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina is Camp Ridgecrest for Boys. This incredible summer camp offers unique experiences just 20 minutes east of Asheville, North Carolina. The camp staff are passionate about helping campers grow the whole self: physically, mentally, socially, and spiritually. Opportunities for paid ministry are available in many different areas. The greatest need is for camp counselors. The role of a counselor is rooted in service, loving kids unconditionally, and sharing Christ in daily life. Counselors can teach in a variety of areas including Soccer, Basketball, Baseball, Football, Weight Lifting, Archery, Riflery, Crafts, Rocketry, Outdoor Living, Bible Study, Horseback, Guitar, and much more. We have additional positions for activity directors, junior counselors, adventure staff, laundry staff, office staff, photojournalists, drivers, and food service staff. Position Available: Counselor / Outdoor Educator Salary Range: competitive
We are a noncompetitive, non-regimented camp focused on fun, growth and instruction. We need people who enjoy working and living with children and have skills in: backpacking, traditional climbing, mountain biking, whitewater canoeing and kayaking, sailing, horseback riding (English), mountain biking, swimming, environmental education, tennis and arts and crafts. Extensive tripping program. Come put your leadership skills to work! Everyone who works at Mondamin has three basic responsibilities: 1) Teaching skills and leading trips in an outdoor activity. 2) Working directly with kids as a counselor, advisor, and advocate constantly. For most staff, this means living with 5 or 6 kids in a cabin unit. 3) Participation and influence as a member of the camp community. QUAL: Must be at least 18 years of age. Must have completed at least one year of undergraduate study at a college or university (or equivalent). Should have experience in and be willing to teach one or more of our activities (some training provided). BNFTS: Salaries are individually determined based on your age, experience and skills.
