Residential boys' summer camp

Camp Voyageur, owned and operated by the Erdmann family since 1951, is a small private camp for boys 9-17 located next to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness in northeastern Minnesota.

We have a traditional in camp program but our specialty is canoeing trips. We lead 3-16 wilderness trips canoeing in the Boundary Waters and Canada's Quetico Provincial Park. In addition we also lead hiking along the North Shore of Lake Superior and on Isle Royale National Park and we lead sea kayaking in the Apostle Island National Lake Shore. Our in camp program of land and water sports includes: waterskiing, soccer, basketball, volleyball, ultimate Frisbee, archery, rock climbing, sailing, arts/crafts, and much more. 1 well trained counselor to 4 campers.

Girls and boys ages 9-16 gather from all parts of the United States and many other countries to enjoy the Navajo Trails Program. Special care is taken to make their exposure to the unique natural wonder of the high Rockies and colorful Canyonlands of Utah an exciting growth experience.

Skill-building adventure trips of choice include: Wilderness Horseback Riding and Outpost Packing, National Parks Trips, Backpacking and Wilderness Training, White Water Kayaking, Rock Climbing, Mountain Biking, Water Skiing.

First of all, Camp Hodia is fun. But it also offers kids the opportunity to share common experiences, to meet others with diabetes, and to form meaningful friendships. Camp Hodia strives to foster self-esteem and self-reliance in a safe, healthy environment. Campers learn self-care, good nutrition and blood-sugar control. They are shown how to balance meals with activity and exercise.

Activities include: archery, arts & crafts, hiking, Swimming, water skiing, and canoeing.
