Camp Woodmont

Residential coed summer camp

Camp Woodmont is a smaller-sized, traditional overnight summer camp for boys and girls. Owner Jane Bennett, with her two children, Directors Tyran and Alyson, have extensive qualifications. Our family-type atmosphere means we can get to know every camper; giving younger campers a feeling of reassurance and belonging and older campers a chance to grow and contribute.

We are traditional in every sense of the word. Cabin living. Cool evenings around the campfire. Funny skit nights. Camp songs. Waking up to the trombone. These are just a few of the traditions that make Camp Woodmont special. Our activities feature hiking, archery, a climbing wall and zip line, horseback riding, sports, arts & crafts and much more. Campers choose activities they want.

Unlike other camps with hundreds of campers, Camp Woodmont has a limited enrollment. We average 65 to 85 campers/week. But because we're small, we provide personal attention and a comfortable home-like feeling. Counselors are college-aged, which provides a much more mature level of supervision.

We are located on 170 acres of beautiful North Georgia woodlands on top of Lookout Mountain (approximately 2 hours North of Atlanta and 30 minutes South of Chattanooga, Tennessee). Come visit during our Open House the 3rd Sunday in May.

Camp Dixie

Residential Coed Camp

A Camping Tradition Since 1914 Camp Dixie provides a supportive, family-like environment by limiting its enrollment to 70 campers. Considered conservative and traditional, our summer residential program is designed for children between the ages of 6 to 15. Located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of northeast Georgia, near Clayton at an elevation of 3000 feet, Camp Dixie covers more than 345 lush acres.

Camp Dixie offers one, two and multiple week sessions. An important ingredient to the success of each camper is Dixie's limited enrollment. Campers and Staff alike easily know each other's names creating an atmosphere that easily supports our "family" philosophy of camping. Since campers' interests and capabilities vary so greatly, a variety of activities are offered at Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced Levels. These are just some of the activities that have been offered: Archery,Kayaking, Swimming, Canoeing, Riflery, Drama, Arts & Crafts and many more.
