-The Salvation Army Scotian Glen Camp | |
| Residential coed summer camp | Thorburn, Nova Scotia | |
| Hundreds of children from NB, PEI and NS travel to Thorburn, NS where they bunk in cabins on the banks of the Sutherland's River. In addition to Salvation Army-run camps, Scotian Glen hosts camps for the Nova Scotia Cancer Society, Nova Scotia Firefighters Burn Treatment Society, and the Nova Scotia Hemophiliac Society. Activities such as canoeing, swimming, hiking, archery, horseshoes, volleyball, soccer, baseball and basketball fill the days. Days end by the campfire with a sing-a-long and marshmallow roast. Scotian Glen makes memories for kids that last a lifetime in a safe and caring environment. |

Longacre Expeditions | |
| Wilderness Adventure, Service, Language, and Cultural Immersion | USA, Canada, Honduras, Costa Rica, Panama, Virgin Islands, Tobago, Ireland, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand | |
| Character-building adventure travel in world-class settings. Groups of 10 - 15 students and their leaders are an ideal size to foster leadership skills, effective communication, confidence building, and fun. Each 15 - 40 day expedition is co-ed, grouped by age, and offers a different mix of activities: snorkeling with dolphins, Spanish immersion, and community service in Honduras, cultural trekking and service in SE Asia, digital photography and falconry in Ireland, surfing and biking in Oregon, scuba and service in Hawaii and the Virgin Islands, white water kayaking in Maine and Pennsylvania, mountaineering and rock climbing in Colorado, sailing and snowboarding in British Columbia. Complementing our daytime activities, we often finish our days with evening meetings. These sessions further bond the group together and help kids speak from the heart with confidence. Families who know us best understand that the Longacre Experience is two-fold - we emphasize both the physical and the interpersonal. |
