Randolph-Macon Academy Summer Programs
Coed Camp with Day and Residential Sessions
Randolph-Macon Academy's Middle School Enrichment Camp offers students in grades 6-8 the opportunity to take fun enrichment classes in the areas of science, writing, reading, math, technology, study skills, and history. Students are in class four mornings each week, and spend the afternoons engaged in swimming, sports, community service, nature/conservation activities, and more. Wednesdays are spent at area attractions and museums. Weekends include trips to amusement parks and museums, Jamestown, whitewater rafting, and swimming.
Additional programs: For students in grades 6-12, there is an English as a Second Language (ESL) course, which is an immersion course that features classroom learning, computer-oriented training, and field trips. For high school students in grades 9-12, R-MA offers classes for new and repeat credit, including most core courses, Spanish, and several electives. Flight Camp for students ages 16 to 18, which features ground school and flying time in a Cessna.

Fun Bot Lab
Coed Day Camp
Fun Bot Lab is a unique robotics and media camp for boys and girls focused on having as much fun with robots as humanly possible. We start with the basic Lego and NXT systems and then modify them, add hardware, submit them to complex challenges all the while teaching important skills in math and science. In the afternoon, we turn to creative digital media formats to create images, music and videos of our experiences.
In the past, students have created animations with Flash, mixed music, created panoramic photography, created commercials, explored DC, made claymation movies and of course - designed, built, programmed all manner of robotic inventions. We have a fun and enthusiastic staff that know their stuff and want to share it with our campers.

Young Scholars Discovery welcomes MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS to an exceptional learning opportunity at the University of Maryland. For two challenging weeks, Discovery nurtures academically talented students who share similar interests, abilities, and goals. Camp Piankatank is a Christian camp for boys and girls located on the beautiful Piankatank River, on the coast of Virginia. We offer overnight adventure camps where campers experience a variety of activities and also overnight specialty camps focusing on sailing, canoeing/kayaking, sports or horseback riding. Camps offered are for ages 7-17.
In all of our activities we teach Biblical principles and campers attend worship services twice daily.

Bach to Rock - America's Music School
Coed Music Day CampB2R knows that students learn best when they join together to play the music they like the most. That's why we use special arrangements of the music of our time to build self-esteem and motivate students.
In weekly full- and half-day music camps, kids learn to perform in a band, DJ, sing in a glee club or promote their band. No experience necessary. Early-childhood camps for 3.5-6 year olds. Morning, afternoon or full-day sessions are offered from mid-June through August. Winter camp is offered during the winter break and spring camp during spring break.
Longacre Leadership
Residential coed summer camp
Longacre Leadership is a summer program for teenagers ages 12-18. We are based on a 200-acre farm in central Pennsylvania. Longacre offers two summer sessions, four-weeks and six-weeks. Both begin July 1st.
Here are three things you should know about Longacre. One, you'll have a lot of choice. We offer farming, gardening, horseback riding, community service, the arts, outdoor adventure, and athletics. You choose what you do every day. Two, we offer a lot of support. Longacre is about building lasting friendships. Our staff give teenagers the support they need: the confidence to take a risk, the encouragement to do a favor, the patience to work in a team. Three, we teach communication skills. Direct communication can be hard. We give teenagers the confidence to clarify their thoughts and then the skills to communicate.
Notes: Longacre promotes diversity. Enrollment is capped at 72 teenagers.

The Young Scholars Program invites HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS to an amazing pre-college experience at the University of Maryland. Students with exceptional ability and promise pursue academic interests, discover career opportunities, earn three college credits, and explore the independence of university life.
The program offers a selection of over 20 courses that are at the cutting-edge of theory, thought, and technology. Courses are enriched with field trips and guest speakers, taking Young Scholars from theory to practice. Coed Day CampFun coed day camp for ages 5-13. Our Activities Camp is available from one day to 10 weeks and includes free ARC swim lessons, recreational swimming, athletics, drama/music, creative arts and special guest performances. Our Adventure Camp for ages 9-13 runs on a weekly basis and includes swimming, outdoor skills, target sports, zipline and climbing wall. A non-denominational Christian camp located on the Chesapeake Bay. Both overnight and day camp programs are available. Outward Bound
Wilderness adventure programs worldwide
Outward Bound, a national nonprofit organization, offers over 500 adventure-based courses - year round - serving adults, teens and youth (ages 12+).
Course activities include rock climbing, sea kayaking, backpacking, mountaineering, sailing, dogsledding, canoeing and rafting in some of the most untouched wilderness areas across the nation. No matter the activity, courses focus on learning through experience, compassion, leadership and responsibility to both team and the environment. Courses range in length from 4 days to three months in length. Scholarships are available.

Woodland Horse Center, located just 8 miles north of the DC beltway, offers summer camp for boys and girls age 5 through 15. Expert instruction and qualified staff in a safe and fun-filled environment! Campers have a blast as they develope their riding skills and learn all about the horse through demonstrations and interactive lectures. Pony Pals Camp is for kids age 5-7. Horsemanship Camp is for kids age 8-15.

TIC Summer Camp

Since 1983, TIC has offered technology and sports in the Washington DC area. Boys and girls, ages 7 to 16, come to TIC not just to explore technology, but for a kind of personal attention (4:1 camper/staff ratio), excitement and creativity rarely found elsewhere. Our half day sports program offers a physical challenge to balance the mental stimulation of the technology half day. At TIC kids learn by having fun!
Four two-week sessions where campers design their own project in one of the following: programming, film making, animation, robotics, web design, digital arts, and digital music. Sports include soccer, basketball, volleyball, frisbee, flag football, gymnastics; extra cost options available in drama and tennis.
