| Deer Hill Expeditions Inc. | |
| Wilderness adventure and service program | based near Durango, Colorado Programs in SW USA & Costa Rica |
| Wild Connections, Human Connections. Inspiring journeys for 7-12 graders in the diverse landscapes of the American Southwest and Costa Rica. Unique combination of wilderness adventure and meaningful service projects with the diverse native cultures in our area. Redrock canyons, pristine rivers, high-desert mesas, aspen groves and snow-capped peaks - this is our backyard. We live and play where we run our programs, so we can run safer and more seamless expeditions. Each summer, we welcome 150 young people to join our community. Check out our programs. Each has its own theme and personality, from Ancient Pathways - an adventure program steeped in the fascinating past and present of the Navajo, to Southwest Journey - an action-packed voyage across the Southwest including rafting the Green River in Utah, service in a Hopi pueblo, a wilderness climbing camp, a peak ascent and a mountain biking expedition on Colorado's famous trails. Older teenagers will be interested in Wildquest, an ultimate journey into the unique landscapes and cultures of the American Southwest, and an induction into Deer Hill's culture of leadership. "I had such an amazing time! I don't think my friends will quite believe me or grasp the immensity of my experience." Baldwin, Little Rock, Arkansas |

| The Road Less Traveled | |
| Community Service, Language, Adventure Expeditions, Global Perspectives | International Destinations: Canada, Costa Rica, Ecuador,
Peru, Panama, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Spain, Norway, Tanzania, Namibia,
India, Bhutan U.S. Destinations: Colorado, Utah, Hawaii, Alaska, Louisiana, Idaho, Montana, Washington, Wyoming, South Dakota |
| Taking The Road Less Traveled is the adrenaline rush you get from running a class III rapid in a canyon so deep you can't see the tops of the rock walls; the rainbow scintillating through the spray of a waterfall we just happened to stumble upon; the shadow a mountain casts on the world below at sunrise... It is shouting out your order for a kilo of tomatoes in a noisy street market in Sevilla or being invited into a monk's quarters for tea in a small Northern Indian monastery. It's paddling a boat filled with sand and small rocks to make cement on a remote beach in the San Blas Islands... The Road Less Traveled is removing ourselves from the familiar spaces we know too well, and venturing into places that inspire us not only to explore our surroundings, but also ourselves. Service Learning Programs offer 72-80 hours of service work, language immersion and adventure activities. Adventure Expeditions offer rock-climbing, backpacking, ice and snow mountaineering, whitewater rafting, kayaking, desert hiking and trekking. Language Programs offer 36-75 hours of formal language instruction, language immersion, adventure and cultural activities. Global Perspectives programs offer cultural immersion and adventure activities. Program length varies from 2-6 weeks. |
