Academic Treks, the academic and service adventure division of Broadreach, offers summer programs for teenagers that blend hands-on learning, community service, adventure, cultural immersion and international travel. The 20-30 day summer trips focus on marine science, language immersion or cultural studies and qualify for college credit as well as up to 55 hours of community service credit. Imagine studying dolphins with researchers in Belize, learning Spanish while you trek through the spectacular Andes or working on sustainable agriculture projects in the heart of the Amazon. This is just a taste of the adventure! In addition to hands-on research and studies, Academic Treks program activities can include SCUBA diving, sailing, rainforest treks, hiking, zip-lining, whitewater rafting, sea kayaking, surfing, horseback trips, spelunking, home-stays and 10-55 hours of community service.

Our wilderness canoe trips take us through some of the most beautiful country in the world, creating opportunities for learning from the land and one another in a spirit that honors awareness, balance, and trust.

Programs for girls (age 11-14), coed (age 13-19), boys (age 10-19). Northwaters offers wilderness canoe expeditions in Canada; separate 2, 3-1/2, 5, and 7 week.

Inside Out, an experiential educational organization, offers all ages challenging outdoor learning opportunities. Experiences illustrate powerful life lessons, and encourage participants to become a dynamic part of a high functioning community group. Curriculum, teambuilding and high adventure activities for school communities and classes. Group effectiveness, communication and adventure activities for adult groups.

Langskib offers wilderness canoeing adventures from our remote Canadian island basecamp with an emphasis on personal growth, leadership development, and expedition skills.

Sessions include 2, 3-1/2, 5, and 7 week programs for young men ages 10 to 17.

A wide variety of outdoor programs are offered ranging from mountain biking, rock climbing and whitewater canoeing in summer to ice climbing, skiing and snowshoeing in winter.

Join other teenagers from all over the U.S. for fun and exciting summer adventures in western North America's amazing wilderness. Besides an amazing amount of fun, you'll see incredible scenery, experience the benefits of being a member of a close community, learn many new outdoor skills, become a stronger leader, and gain self-confidence.

Exciting 16 - 28 day wilderness adventures for 13 - 18 year olds in Washington, Oregon, California, Canada, Montana, Alaska, North Carolina & New Hampshire. A 1:4 instructor:student ratio with a focus on community and growth. Activities include backpacking, rock climbing, mountaineering, canoeing, mountain biking, sea kayaking, sailing, windsurfing and whitewater rafting.

Come on a voyage with us and you will sail, navigate, read the constellations, sleep outdoors, take command, explore the coast and uninhabited islands, make new friends and have an outrageous amount of fun. No sailing experience needed.

For generations Nova Scotians have traveled the coast in small boats, learning wisdom and courage from the sea. Today the Nova Scotia Sea School takes young people from around the world out to sea in traditional sailing craft, for fun and for personal challenge. It's a chance to discover Nova Scotia's heritage,and to discover themselves.

Camp Temagami is a wilderness canoe-tripping camp for boys and girls aged 10 to 18. For over 75 years, our island has been the origin and destination of canoe trips ranging from overnight to five weeks in length. Our highly experienced guides help campers grow - as canoe trippers, as part of the community, and as young women and men. Our program provides the backdrop for fun, excitement and adventure where we believe in the importance of self-initiated play and opportunities to explore in safe, natural environments. We offer 2, 3, 4 and 5 week sessions.
