Residential coed summer camp Bethel, Maine

Overnight camp offering 2 or 4 week sessions for boys and girls 8-15 years old in a non-competitive, nurturing environment. Located on Gould Academy's beautiful campus in the charming town of Bethel, Maine, we offer high quality instruction in visual/performing arts, technology, special interest activities and individual/lifetime sports. We foster a non-competitive atmosphere where campers feel comfortable pursuing new interests as they choose from a variety of activities including acting, improvisation, theater tech, dance (hip hop, modern, ballet, tap, choreography), chorus, drawing/painting, pottery, batik, printmaking, sculpture, jewelry, stained glass, animal care, digital photography, videography, web design, robotics, rocketry, culinary arts, chess, science, tennis, golf, kayaking/canoeing, mountain biking, martial arts and yoga/fitness.

Our director and assistant director make it a priority to communicate actively with parents and stay involved in the day-to-day camp operations. We cultivate a small, inclusive camp community, led by a staff of experienced, professional instructors and mature dorm counselors, creating a 3:1 camper/staff ratio.

Camp Hawthorne & New England Camping Adventures
Residential Coed, General Camp, Sailing Camp, Creative Arts and Wilderness Adventure Raymond, Maine

Camp Hawthorne, founded in 1919, is located on over 2 miles of shorefront on pristine Panther Lake in Raymond, Maine. We offer 2, 3 and 5-week programs for coed campers ages 7-16. Programs include a 2 and 3-week general camp with land sports, sailing, waterskiing, camp craft, drama and visual arts. We also offer a 2-week sailing program with racing, a 3-week video film making program, and a 2-week creative arts program with professional staff focusing on performing and visual arts and film making.

We also offer a wilderness and leadership program called New England Camping Adventures offering Outward Bound style trips in white water canoeing, rafting, rock climbing, backpacking, ocean kayaking and biking. We are a small family type camp of 115 campers. Designed for an easy adjustment for first-year campers.

JCC Maccabi Camp Kingswood
Residential coed summer camp Bridgton, Maine

JCC Maccabi Camp Kingswood, the JCC of Greater Boston's camp for boys and girls ages 8-15, is located in Bridgton, Maine. The camp provides a broad athletic, creative arts and cultural program that allows campers many opportunities to deepen their skills and try new things. In this caring and positive environment campers are supported in developng independence, becoming more self-confident, learning cooperation and teamwork, and in strenghtening their Jewish identities. Kingswood's kitchen is kosher.

The camp has exceptional facilities: athletic fields, climbing wall, and high and low ropes courses. Programs in the arts, theatre, dance and gymnastics and a fully equipped waterfront. Jewish and Israel-related themes are woven through camp programming. Staff to camper ratios are low. Sessions: 2, 3-1/2 & 7 weeks.

Outward Bound Wilderness
Wilderness adventure programs nationwide USA, Canada and some international locations

Outward Bound Wilderness, a national nonprofit organization, offers over 500 adventure-based wilderness courses - year round - serving adults, teens and youth (ages 12+).

Course activities include rock climbing, sea kayaking, backpacking, mountaineering, sailing, dogsledding, canoeing and rafting in some of the most untouched wilderness areas across the nation. No matter the activity, courses focus on learning through experience, compassion, leadership and responsibility to both team and the environment. Courses range in length from 4 days to three months in length. Scholarships are available.

Since 1962, over 500,000 students have returned from an Outward Bound experience with a deeper knowledge of themselves and the world in which we live.

Incarnation Camp
Residential coed summer camp Ivoryton, CT

Founded in 1886, Incarnation Camp offers both residential and day camping to boy and girls ages 7-15. Located on 700 wooded acres, which surround a mile-long private lake, Incarnation Camp offers a well-rounded program including traditional camp activities. Teens take part in Adventure Treks.

In the spirit of the traditional camp experience, activities include: boating; water sports; ropes course; archery; hiking; primitive studies; field and team sports; fine arts, such as drama, art, dance, arts and crafts; horseback riding, swimming instruction and more. Teens hike the Appalachian Trail, bike the rail trails of New England and canoe the CT River.

SIG provides academically advanced students in grades 4-11 with an exciting and challenging educational experience. The program combines remarkable academic courses with cultural, social, and recreational opportunities on distinguished college campuses: UCLA, Amherst College, Drew University, UC Berkley, Vassar College, Oberlin College and Bryn Mawr College.

The academic program is central to SIG's design and purpose. To this core, we add evening performances, off-campus trips, creativity workshops, numerous social activities and a full recreational program. Sessions last three weeks, June - August.
