Exciting 16 - 28 day wilderness adventures for 13 - 18 year olds in Washington, Oregon, California, Canada, Montana, Alaska, North Carolina & New Hampshire. A 1:4 instructor:student ratio with a focus on community and growth. Activities include backpacking, rock climbing, mountaineering, canoeing, mountain biking, sea kayaking, sailing, windsurfing and whitewater rafting.

Academic Treks, the academic and service adventure division of Broadreach, offers summer programs for teenagers that blend hands-on learning, community service, adventure, cultural immersion and international travel. The 20-30 day summer trips focus on marine science, language immersion or cultural studies and qualify for college credit as well as up to 55 hours of community service credit. Imagine studying dolphins with researchers in Belize, learning Spanish while you trek through the spectacular Andes or working on sustainable agriculture projects in the heart of the Amazon. This is just a taste of the adventure!

In addition to hands-on research and studies, Academic Treks program activities can include SCUBA diving, sailing, rainforest treks, hiking, zip-lining, whitewater rafting, sea kayaking, surfing, horseback trips, spelunking, home-stays and 10-55 hours of community service.

Located on the shores of Stave Lake in Mission, the Zajac Ranch for Children is a western themed camp offering weekend and week long sessions for children with serious/chronic illnesses and disabilities. Here children are able to develop and enhance their own abilities while sharing with others that are experiencing the same things as they are. The Zajac Ranch houses a 24-hr Medical Centre staffed with volunteer doctors and nurses who are able to provide the medical needs of every child that attends. Our Counselors are caring, friendly and experienced and are trained to meet the needs of each individual camper.

Activities include: horseback riding, archery, high ropes course, climbing wall, low ropes course, arts and crafts, canoeing, kayaking, swimming and more. Summer Camp season begins in July and ends in August, with Spring Break and Fall Retreat sessions offered.

Our theme for summer 2009 - "All Canadian Summer". There will be lots of opportunities to enjoy our camp activities including sailing, street luge, campfire, zip line and wake boarding, there will be lots of memories to treasure.

Activities include: Street Luge, High Ropes Course, Mountain Biking, Wakeboarding, Tubing, Climbing Wall, Archery, Crafts, Hiking, Swimming, Canoeing, Kayaking, Sailing, Soccer, RC Cars, Torpedo Max, Tree-houses, Night games, Overnighter, Campfires, Linear Low Ropes Course, Basketball, Earth Boarding and Chapel.

Jump into the adventure and let friendship fill each day! Camp Qwanoes is a youth-focused, relationship-oriented, high-adventure, Christ-centred camp. Summer camps start end of June and end in early September. Camps are coed for ages 8 to 18

Over 40 activity options, full waterfront (ski boats, aqua park, etc), challenge course (zip-line, giant swing, etc.), & more!

British Columbia Easter Seal Camps Shawnigan, Squamish and Winfield offer no cost, week-long sessions for children with disabilities. Children discover and enhance their own abilities while they enjoy a host of activities ranging from aquatics and nature programs to arts, crafts and drama workshops.

The caring, professional staff have been specifically trained to accommodate the needs of each individual child. Each camps environment has been designed to achieve this goal.
