"I would like to personally welcome you to Forest Lake Camp, frequently referred to as 'One of America's great Adirondack sleepaway camps.' My grandfather started Forest Lake in 1926, and I am the third generation Confer to direct it. Since 1926 thousands of boys and girls have experienced the wonders of our camp, gaining independence, developing self-confidence, connecting with the natural outdoor world, establishing strong new friendships, and participating in an extraordinarily broad range of new and exciting activities never experienced before."
