Since 1935, a summer camp for Boys and Girls, ages 5-14 which offers a farm, wilderness and traditional program that nurtures the child while fostering a connection with the land and the simple joys of childhood. The strength of Gwynn Valley is its nurturing environment in a child centered world where each camper will learn and grow under the guideance of a mature and caring staff. We are committed to each individual becoming a vital part of the community. Simplicity, acceptance, a non-competitive program, and an appreciation of the natural world are our core values. We maintain a camper/staff ratio of 3:1. Our residential camp offers sessions of 1, 2, and 3 weeks in length. We grow 70% of our food on our farm and operate an 1890's Grist Mill as an extension of that program. We also have a small Day Camp for children K-4th grade.

Camp Friendship was founded in 1966 and is still managed by the Ackenbom family. This is a place where campers come back to year after year to visit with old friends and make new ones, supporting our motto "Enter here to be and find a friend". Camp Friendship is more than just fun and games, we also cater to the development needs of our campers. Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains on 520 acres Camp Friendship offers a variety of programs for boys and girls ages 7-16. Traditional camp programs for Juniors and Teens offer more than 40 activities for campers to choose from to create a fun and fulfilling summer.

Our campers can mix and match one-week sessions with VIVA! Camp Highlander is a co-ed residential summer camp devoted to the growing and nurturing of boys and girls, ages 5-16 in a safe, fun-filled environment since 1957. Located in the North Carolina mountains, our goal is to give children memories to fill their hearts, friendships to last a lifetime, and achievements to give them confidence while encouraging them to build character and strong values that will remain with them always. Camp High Rocks is a small camp for boys in the mountains of Western North Carolina. High Rocks is a place for fun and learning, for challenge and adventure, and for living in an environment that is geared to a camper's needs and interests.
