Camp Civitan
Residential camp for the physically and mentally challenged	Williams, Arizona
Camp Civitan is a special needs camp located in Northern Arizona in Williams (just 50 miles from the Grand Canyon). Our completely handicapped accessible premier camping facility has operated summer camps since 1968, and is a non-profit organization. Our camping sessions enable developmentally disabled children and adults the opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors. We are also a licensed vendor for The Arizona Department of Economic Security/Division of Developmental Disabilities and accept respite and habilitation for payment of camp. Camp Civitan operates approximatly 15 weeks (June-Sept). We offer oppurtunites to enjoy the great outdoors, sports and physical activites, arts and crafts, community field trips, habilitation, food and nutrition education and peer socialization. Our staff is fun loving, cpr and first aid trained.

Outward Bound Wilderness, a national nonprofit organization, offers over 500 adventure-based wilderness courses - year round - serving adults, teens and youth (ages 12+).

Course activities include rock climbing, sea kayaking, backpacking, mountaineering, sailing, dogsledding, canoeing and rafting in some of the most untouched wilderness areas across the nation. No matter the activity, courses focus on learning through experience, compassion, leadership and responsibility to both team and the environment. Courses range in length from 4 days to three months in length. Scholarships are available.

Since 1962, over 500,000 students have returned from an Outward Bound experience with a deeper knowledge of themselves and the world in which we live.

At Camp Tatiyee our sessions are divided by age with special sessions for physically challenged, mentally challenged, deaf and blind. Disabilities have included but are not limited to spinal injury, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, muscular dystrophy, multiple sclerosis, amputees, deafness, blindness and mildly mentally challenged.

Activities include: Arts and Crafts, Ceramics/Pottery, Climbing/Rappelling, Counselor Training (CIT), Drama, Fishing, Football, Hiking, Nature/Environmental Studies, Team Building, Aquatic Activities, Camping Skills/Outdoor Living, Dance, Drawing/Painting, Field Trips, Music, Performing Arts, Recreational Swimming.

Cherith camps cover North America and provide a unique setting away from a camper's normal activities. Camp Cherith is a wonderful environment for teaching Christian values and life skills in the camp setting. It is a place where campers learn to make Christ a part of every aspect of their life.

Each of the 22 camps offer a variety of skill activities and outdoor experiences from the traditional camp experiences such as archery, swimming, crafts, and canoeing, to activities such as waterskiing, rock climbing, sailing, and mountain biking that are unique to their geographical area. Some camps have girls weeks, boys weeks, coed, or a combination. Cherith Camping has been around for 60 plus years, is inter-denominational, and affiliated with Pioneer Clubs. YMCA Camp Sky Y. Our goal is simple, "Make every kid feel like a WINNER". Our staff work together to make every camper feel successful and make friends. Through close supervision, caring attitudes and thorough training our staff help your camper succeed and grow. Character development activities combined with camp activities assure fun and personal growth. Activities include traditional camp fun plus horseback riding, 50 ft. climbing tower, giant swing, paintball, mountain boards, ceramics, Teen travel camps and leadership program. One week sessions from June through August, or combine many weeks for your custom schedule.

YMCA Chauncey Ranch combines "Ranch life" and Camp fun to create an experience to remember. The same goals as above combined with a world-class equestrian facility creates a unique program. 2 week Cowboy Campers spend 6 hours per day with horses. Leadership program includes a pack trip, Youth Hunter Education and other specialty camps promote outdoor leadership. In addition, one week and Half week Ranch programs operate from June 3 - July 30 for boys & girls ages 7-16. Activities include high ropes, zip line, paintball, rifle range, sporting clays, crafts, canoeing, fishing, swimming pool, sports, campfires, fantastic food & more.

Camp Mountain Chai is a Jewish resident coed camp located ion the San Bernardino Mountains. We help campers gain personal independence, build self confidence, make new friends. Our facilities feature a 40 foot climbing tower, Ropes Course, trails for hiking and biking, kosher kitchen, cabins with heat and bathrooms and showers.

Activities include rock climbing, Ropes Course, mountain biking, nature, ceramics, arts and crafts, drama, dance, radio, swimming, canoeing and much mores. Sessions - 1,2,3,4 or 5 wks.

Safe - Fun - Challenging: "Ride the Best in the West!" Primarily a horsemanship camp, if your camper has never been on a horse, they'll learn to groom, saddle and ride "from the hoof up." If your camper already rides, they'll improve their skills with fun choices like roping, barrel racing, pole bending, jumping, & more! As our Camp sits on a 26,000 acre working cattle ranch, campers take rides over beautiful scenic trails - some of the west's last remaining vistas. Regardless of your child's riding level or interest, our CHA certified instructors offer superior instruction in both Western and English riding disciplines.

When not in the saddle campers have the choice of traditional camp activities such as archery, swimming, desert survival and more! Weekly field trips find our campers exploring Montezuma's Castle, cheering at the Frontier's Days Rodeo & Parade, and visiting historic Jerome or Flagstaff and other amazing sights! For the "Summer of a Lifetime," send your camper to Orme! Established by one of Arizona's pioneer families in 1929, Orme is proudly accredited by the American Camp Association. Two to eight week sessions each features a special theme in addition to the regular horsemanship and other activities listed above.

High in the tall, cool pines near historic Prescott, Arizona, Friendly Pines offers 30+ activities to choose from. Activities include English & Western riding, pony driving, swimming, tennis, waterskiing, rock climbing, ropes course, archery, arts, fishing, sports, hiking, pets, outdoor living skills, & more.

Excellent camper to staff ratios. We conduct professional background checks and drug tests on all staff. 65 years of experience. Coed, ages 6-13. An Arizona tradition!
