Outward Bound, a national nonprofit organization, offers over 500 adventure-based courses - year round - serving adults, teens and youth (ages 12+).
Course activities include rock climbing, sea kayaking, backpacking, mountaineering, sailing, dogsledding, canoeing and rafting in some of the most untouched wilderness areas across the nation. No matter the activity, courses focus on learning through experience, compassion, leadership and responsibility to both team and the environment. Courses range in length from 4 days to three months in length. Scholarships are available.
Since 1962, over 500,000 students have returned from an Outward Bound experience with a deeper knowledge of themselves and the world in which we live.

Every summer camp offers a packed schedule of games, activities and chapels that give each age group something new to look forward to. All campers are challenged with the truth of the Bible and how to put it into practice in everyday life.
Horses, go carts, water sports, archery, canoes, mini-golf, crafts, zip line, gym, game room, great food & more. Offering Summer Camp, Soccer Camp, Sourdough Camp (tent camping) and Wilderness Trips.
Camp Jessie Bloom, Farthest North Girl Scout Council
Residential Girls' CampCamp Jessie Bloom offers girls a fun, beautiful, and safe environment where they can gain confidence and independence to face challenges. Experienced camp staff nurture and encourage girls to Discover who they are and what they stand for; Connect with others in a diverse world; and Take Action to make the world a better place. All girls may attend, including non-Girl Scouts!
Girls swim and canoe, hike on the trails, and do a variety of other traditional camp activities such as campfires, crafts, and cook-outs. Most of all, girls have fun and share special friendships with their fellow campers!

Camp Nor'wester
Residential coed summer camp
Less Technology - More Independence. Camp Nor'wester has provided memorable summers to 1000's of kids since 1935. Activities are considered traditional: arts and crafts, drama, archery, and ropes course, with lots of outdoor activities like sailing, kayaking, hiking and overnight camping trips. Living is cooperative - everyone helps with daily living needs like cleaning latrine and shower houses; clearing trails; gathering wood for shower house boilers, repairing fire circles, and serving food at meal times. We get outside, live with simple comforts, and do things that require personal effort.
Leaving the distractions of technology, media and commerce behind, campers discover new interests and friendships through simple, self- powered pleasures. Change takes time. Our four-week program allows campers to step out on their own, away from preconceived images or expectations held by family and school communities. They will encounter challenging experiences in a supportive, group living environment. They will learn to build relationships, share adventures and take on responsibilities.
Kids don't have to be the smartest, fastest, tallest or coolest to come to Nor'wester. They just have to be willing to leave the cushy life behind, unplug for a while, and try something out of the ordinary.

Since 1973, Wilderness Ventures has been introducing exciting outdoor expeditions to beginners and experienced young adults, ages 12 through 20. Our adventures visit a variety of wilderness environments in the Western United States, Hawaii, Alaska, Canada, Europe, Australia, Central America, South America, and the South Pacific. Trips range from 14-36 days.
Activities include backpacking, whitewater rafting & kayaking, mountaineering, biking, sailing, surfing, SCUBA, canoeing, sea kayaking, and community service.
Adventures Cross-Country
Adventures for TeenagersAdventures Cross-Country (ARCC) is celebrating 30 years of offering diverse programs for teenagers in over 20 countries and 5 western states throughout North America, Asia, Africa, Caribbean, South Pacific, Australia, Europe, Central and South America. ARCC also offers Gap Semester programs in Africa, Latin America and Asia that provide an educational and cultural bridge between high school and college.
ARCC students travel to a variety of the world's most spectacular locations and participate in activities such as community service projects, language schools, cultural immersion, backpacking, sailing, SCUBA diving, surfing, kayaking, rock climbing, mountaineering, glacier travel, ice climbing, and more!

Girl Powered Teen Adventure Camp! 7, 14 or 21-day wilderness-based summer camp sessions for girls ages 11-17. Our multi-adventure camps for girls offers tent-camping, yoga and healthy "camp gourmet" cooking combined with backpacking,horseback riding, surfing, rock climbing, canoeing, sea kayaking, whitewater rafting, and wildly original Alpenolympic events! "1st time away from home" camper specialty, 75% of our staff return, staff average age of 26, less than 120 campers per summer, 1:4 or 1:6 ratio, a small family-style girl teen camp program dedicated to caring for each camper.

You'll enjoy snowshoeing, winter trekking, winter camping, XC skiing, ski sailing and more. Our 3 Alaska Youth Summer Camps this year will operate for 7 fun and learning filled days.
