Adamah Adventures
Wilderness Adventure - United States
Adamah Adventures is an outdoor adventure summer program for Jewish teens. We help our campers develop self-confidence, independence, and a sense of adventure while building a strong community focused on environmentalism and the joy of Jewish life. During the 18-day trek, campers work in small groups alongside highly trained staff members to experience both the thrill and the quiet; the whitewater and the campfire; in some of the most awe-inspiring places in the country.
Adamah Adventures now offers four treks to choose from. The first trek is to the lush landscape of the Blue Ridge Mountains (Georgia, Tennessee, and South Carolina). The second adventure visits the mountains and coast of North Carolina on the Peaks and Paddles Trek. The third trek to the Pacific Northwest features snow-capped mountain peaks and wild ocean beaches. Our fourth trek, Oregon Service, allows 10th-12th graders to make a difference while exploring the mountains and craters of Oregon. Rockbrook Camp for Girls
Residential girls' summer camp
Rockbrook Camp is an overnight summer camp for girls located in the mountains of North Carolina. Rockbrook was established in 1921 and currently is welcoming fourth-generation campers. It offers 2, 3 and 4 week sessions to girls, ages 6 to 16.
Campers choose from a wide variety of activities including horseback riding, arts and crafts and outdoor adventure. Activities include: pottery, weaving, painting and drawing, sewing, rock climbing, archery, canoeing, rafting, basketry, jewelry making, backpacking, riflery, and more!

Our classrooms are set in the wilderness and are designed for building technical outdoor skill, developing leadership and teamwork. Expeditions run year-round in North Carolina, Florida, and internationally. For over 40 years North Carolina Outward Bound has been a powerful way to reconnect with your inner strengths and potential.
Course activities include rock climbing, sea kayaking, backpacking, mountaineering, and canoeing in some of the most untouched wilderness areas across the southeast. No matter the activity, courses focus on learning through experience, compassion, leadership and responsibility to both team and the environment. Courses range in length from 4 days to three months in length. Scholarships are available.

Wellspring Adventure Weight Loss Camp in North Carolina combines Wellspring's renowned weight loss approach with adventure and activity. With exciting outdoor activities such as climbing, rafting, camping, hiking, and swimming holes, as well as more traditional camp activities, Adventure Camp provides unparalleled weight loss.
From our camp tucked in the valley of the Blue Ridge Mountains, campers leave for week-long adventures throughout the Carolinas and Tennessee. Nutrition and culinary classes paired with the delicious food served in the dining hall guarantee knowledge of and love for new foods. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with a "BC" (Behavioral Coach) in group and individual sessions knits these elements together into comprehensive lifestyle change for rapid weight loss and long-term weight control.

Falling Creek Camp is an independent camp for boys located in the mountains of Western North Carolina. Our mission is to provide a setting, program, and dedicated leadership to allow our boys a maximum opportunity for personal growth and fun as they develop an understanding of their relationships with nature, their fellow man, and God.

SOAR, Inc.
Wilderness adventure program
SOAR has provided multi-length, high adventure programs for youth diagnosed with ADHD and/or learning disabilities for over 35 years. Recognizing that the outdoors provides an ideal classroom where relevant learning can occur and life skills can be taught, emphasis is placed on developing self-confidence, social skills, and problem solving techniques. Course are co-ed, and are dveloped for youth ages 8-25 with average to above average intelligence and physical ability. Staff to student ratio is low, and instructors are hired for qualities of maturity, caring and passion for working with our population in the outdoor setting.
Activities vary by location and range from snorkeling and fishing in the Florida keys; backpacking and rafting in the Blue Ridge mountains of NC; surfing and sea kayaking in California; horsepacking and fishing in the Wind River Mountains of Wyoming; to canoeing and rock climbing in the Adirondack mountains of New York. Specialty courses include a trip tropical Belize, learning to whitewater kayak in North Carolina, earning SCUBA certifications in Florida, and even participating in a Wyoming Rodeo! Our Postgraduate program serves young adults ages 18-25.

Camp High Rocks

Camp High Rocks is a small camp for boys in the mountains of Western North Carolina. High Rocks is a place for fun and learning, for challenge and adventure, and for living in an environment that is geared to a camper's needs and interests.
Aided by a well-trained staff we seek to teach and inspire lasting skills and values. We offer ongoing opportunities for success, a freedom from inhibiting competitive pressure, and an environment that promotes increased self-esteem and a close sense of community. High Rocks offers the opportunity to grow with one, two, three and four week sessions, each with a higher skill and trip progression.
Activities include: rock climbing, canoeing, kayaking, horseback riding, mountain biking, hiking, arts & crafts, fishing and many more traditional camp activities. Our 1,000 acre facility adjoins a 10,000 acre state forest and Pisgah National Forest.
Deep Woods Camp
Wilderness adventure program for boysDeep Woods Camp provides a range of wilderness experiences for boys as an entire program. Small enrollment - 28 campers in each session - allows for individual attention.
All campers participate in hiking, backpacking, whitewater canoeing and rafting, rock climbing and mountain biking.
Green River Preserve
Residential, coed environmental summer camp
Play under waterfalls, track wild animals, explore mountain forests with naturalists. Green River Preserve is a 3400 acre wildlife preserve and summer camp for bright, curious, and creative children. Serving rising 2nd through 9th graders, our camp is nurturing, noncompetitive and purposefully small with enrollment limited to 104. After morning hikes, campers choose from over 20 elective activities including rock climbing, pottery, archery, fly fishing, music, art and drama. 1, 2 and 3 week sessions are available.
For rising 9th through 12 graders, we offer Green River Expeditions- two-week canoeing, backpacking and kayaking adventures which follow the Green River tradition of combining learning with exploration.

Camp Merrie-Woode is a well established girls' camp which fosters growth and self-confidence in its campers through outdoor adventures and camp activities. Counselors are excited about working with children in a positive way, while focusing on traditional camping in a beautiful mountain setting ideal for outdoor high adventure activities.
Traditional camp activities as well as many adventure experiences in backpacking, caving, rock climbing, ropes course and whitewater canoeing and kayaking. The ten-week program has three sessions (3, 5 and 2week). Activities include: canoeing, kayaking, sailing, climbing, hiking, riding, nature, tennis, drama, studio art, photography, pottery.

Gwynn Valley Camp
Coed Residential and Day Summer Camp
Since 1935, a summer camp for Boys and Girls, ages 5-14 which offers a farm, wilderness and traditional program that nurtures the child while fostering a connection with the land and the simple joys of childhood. The strength of Gwynn Valley is its nurturing environment in a child centered world where each camper will learn and grow under the guideance of a mature and caring staff. We are committed to each individual becoming a vital part of the community. Simplicity, acceptance, a non-competitive program, and an appreciation of the natural world are our core values. We maintain a camper/staff ratio of 3:1. Our residential camp offers sessions of 1, 2, and 3 weeks in length. We grow 70% of our food on our farm and operate an 1890's Grist Mill as an extension of that program. We also have a small Day Camp for children K-4th grade.
Primary activities at our coed camp include: Horseback Riding, Outdoor Living Skills, Farm, Mountain Biking, Texture Crafts, Rock Climbing, Grist Mill, Waterfront, Whitewater Kayaking and Canoeing, Pioneer Crafts, Sports, Fine Arts, Web of Life, and Backpacking and much more.

Located in the mountains of Western North Carolina, Camp Arrowhead is a Christian, high-adventure summer camp for boys ages 6-16. Sessions range from one to seven weeks, and since 1937, generations of campers have experienced life-changing summers at Arrowhead.
Our passion is to help every boy become the man God created him to be. Because we are small, and because we actively create a partnership with parents, we will know the specific hopes and needs of your son. Because we are passionate, your son will benefit from the tremendous excitement, experience and energy of our summer camp staff. Set along our very own sparkling clear trout stream, Arrowhead has 217 acres of beautiful woodlands, waterfalls, streams, meadows and trails for boys to explore, camp and ride. We also take advantage of over 2 million acres of nearby mountain forests and rivers of National Forest lands.
Boys live in cabins with others their age and our exceptional counselors.

Join us for an Adventure Camp experience like no other! Cheerio Adventures specializes in camp sessions from 3 days up to 14 days of unforgettable adventures. We are a Christian based adventure camp located in the mountains of SW Virginia along the New River. The camp is for boys and girls ages 10-17. All groups consist of 8-12 participants, to maximize the adventure experience and promote strong and long lasting friendships. Our focus on helping young people learn more about themselves, strengthen self-confidence, leadership, teamwork skills, is accomplished while challenging them in a safe and fun Christian setting. All equipment is provided.
